Mount Sinai seems to be the favorite to win this division.

Bayport Blue Point

Comsewogue

East Hampton

Eastport South Manor

Hampton Bays

Miller Place

Mount Sinai

Rocky Point

Sayville

Shoreham Wading River

Westhampton Beach

Comsewogue has a chance to surprise in this division. They have two guys who are a dynamic 1-2 punch. Colin Strohm is the bigger of the two who can really drill it. He can finish inside but is also a player who can stretch the floor because of his ability to shoot it. Hayden Morris Gray runs the show from the point. A player with excellent court vision who can get into the lane but can also knock down shots from the perimeter.

Eastport South Manor has two upperclassman who have seen the turnaround in this program over the last few years. Drew McGowan 2024 is an excellent shooter from three. He had 25 last year and should add to that count this year due to some graduations. Senior Jacob Haines has a nice inside out game, He has the ability to shoot it from the perimeter or get to the rim. A slasher type player. ESM might have the top freshman in the league in Brady McGowan. An outstanding shooter might lack experience but has an excellent skill set.

Hampton Bays has one of the most athletic players in the league. Kazmir Johnson is a long lanky player with tremendous athleticism. He is an outstanding rebounder. Uses his leaping ability. Plays above the rim.

Mount Sinai mixes some youth with senior leadership. Plus they have my pick for the POY in the East division. [player_tooltip player_id='1045691' first='Drew' last='Feinstein'] has been reported many times by me. He is a complete basketball player. Can score at all three levels. Outstanding rebounder from the guard spot. Has the ability to take over games. Very smooth player. Extremely athletic, plays above the rim. [player_tooltip player_id='1392623' first='Thomas' last='Frycek'] has leadership qualities, He is an excellent defender and is usually on the opponents top player. Can play either guard spot. [player_tooltip player_id='1392631' first='Derek' last='Schecter'] will run the offense from the point. Has been on varsity since his freshman year. He has outstanding vision and awareness. Makes the right play. A really good shooter from three. [player_tooltip player_id='1361931' first='Dominic' last='Pennzello'] 2025 can score from any spot on the floor. As a freshman last year he was one of the top scorers and rebounders on the team. Very good shooter from beyond the arc. At 6”2 he has good size for a guard. Coach likes to have him in the game at crunch time because he is automatic from the charity stripe.
