This is the premier fall league in southwestern Indiana featuring the best talent from Evansville and the surrounding area. It was a great opportunity to get eyes on a lot of the best players in that area under one roof. Over the next couple of days I’ll pump out a handful of articles from the event, but let’s start with highlight some top performers. These guys were the best players I saw on Sunday during week two of the #PCBXLeague.
Good things tend to happen when

has the ball in his hands. The crafty point guard has excellent strength to take on contact as he drives, is a very good passer, and can flat out score the basketball from all three levels. He has a smooth pull-up jumper and can make tough shots from beyond the arc off of the dribble as well. Dunham’s ability to take over a game offensively will be a big reason why Evansville Christian is one of the top contenders for the Class 1A state championship this season.
This was one of my first times to evaluate Ellspermann in person and the 6’0″ guard didn’t disappoint. He is very athletic, scores it efficiently from all over the floor, and is an excellent defender both on and off of the ball. Memorial has a really talented host of young talent and Esllspermann is one who received a lot of valuable varsity experience as a freshman. Expect a big sophomore season from him.
Howell is a truly dynamic scorer who put his abilities on full display on Sunday afternoon. The 5’7″ guard is lightening quick with the ball in his hands, creates his own shot consistently off of the dribble, and is a creative finisher at the end of his drives. He put up performances of 32 and 24 points on the day. Howell will have a massive junior season and deserves more attention on a statewide basis as one of the best scorers in the junior class.
There is no keeping Sims from getting to his spot and scoring the basketball. The 6’3″ physical guard has excellent body control and strength which allows him to play right through the defense and score around the basket. He has a great mid-range game and three-point stroke as well. Anytime he has the ball in his hands he is ready to go score it. He had that offensive skill set working at a high level on Sunday. Sims is one of the most talented sophomores in a very deep Class of 2025 in Indiana. Expect a big season out of him at Harrison.
At this point, everyone around the state should know how special Sisley is as a prospect. The 6’7″ 4-star forward dominated both of his games on Sunday at the Pocket City Fall League showcasing his versatile offensive skill set. Sisley can stretch the floor out to three-point range, handles the ball like a guard even starting the fast break at times, and threw down a couple of highlight-reel worthy dunks. It is easy to understand why Big Ten schools are after this prospect as hard as they are. He is a special, special talent.
The best interior player on Sunday was definitely the 6’7″ Tornatta. I watched him go head-to-head with Sisley in one game and he had success scoring it with his back to the basket. The big lefty has good finishing skills inside, especially with his left hand over his right shoulder. He also is an excellent rebounder who gets them outside of his area on both ends of the floor. Tornatta should really gain a lot of exposure through his junior season as one of the best forwards in his class.
