Continuing my NE Ohio coverage, my next stop is the Northeast 8 Conference. The conference has produced mainly Division II teams, and last year produced 2 District Runner-Ups (Jefferson Area & Poland Seminary) but failed to produce any champs. The upcoming season will be somewhat of a challenge as the top teams from a year ago won't be as overwhelmingly good as previous years. But there certainly is hope for another deep run from someone.

Struthers- Last year's co-champs will claim an outright title as they return one of the best returning players in the conference in Nick DelGratta (Sr). The senior is part of a Struthers team that is notorious for being a thorn in opponents' sides come playoff time.

Girard- Bring back their top 2 in [player_tooltip player_id='1216530' first='Thomas' last='Cardiero'] (Sr) and Gus Johnson (Sr). Cardiero is one of the best players returning. Both are seniors and give Girard experience and talent combo.

Poland Seminary- District Runner-Up but now without a good senior class. Not sure who the next big name will be.

Jefferson Area- Falcons are losing 2 1st Team All-District players. Moving up to Division II as well.

South Range- Not returning any big names. Football team is very good so we may not see their full team until December.

Lakeview/Niles McKinley/Hubbard- All 3 are battling for #6 spot. Not returning a ton of production.
