Leola-Frederick: Team Deep Dive

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We are back for another team preview. In this piece, we are heading to South Dakota, Class B Region 1. We are checking out the Titans from Leola-Frederick. <em>Brock Pashen</em> is the head coach of the Titans.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Last year, the Titans went 8-12. Waubay-Summit (State Tournament team) ended the Titans season. Leola-Frederick's 2021-2022 season was highlighted by nice wins over Northwestern, Herreid-Selby, and Ipswich. They competed and participated in multiple team camps. Leola-Frederick hosted a team camp, went east to Alexandria (MN) for a camp, and attended Northern State's team camp. The Titans played very well at times and they started to figure things out about the future of their program. The coaches learned about players and they now have a clear idea of where to put everyone so they can have a productive season after the loss of those four seniors to graduation. It was a successful off-season for the Titans!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"style":{"typography":{"fontSize":"25px"}}} --> <p style="font-size:25px"><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Players To Watch</span></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Hans Lapka (senior)</strong> &amp; <strong>Brayden Sumption (junior)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>These are two of the quickest kids the Titans have had in their program. They both attack the rim really well and will be looked upon to be leaders for the Titans.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1386801' first='Noah' last='Kippley'] (sophomore)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A returner and an accomplished scorer. Kippley will garner much attention from the defense because of his sharpshooting ability. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"style":{"typography":{"fontSize":"25px"}}} --> <p style="font-size:25px"><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Up-and-Comers</span></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1634581' first='Milo' last='Sumption'] (freshman) &amp; [player_tooltip player_id='1634582' first='Ethan' last='Petrich'] (freshman)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>These two youngsters both had quality summers for the Titans. Milo and Ethan will be needed in the low post and for defensive rebounding. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1563333' first='Connor' last='Spitzer'] (junior)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>He will be needed for quality post-defense. Spitzer will also be needed to handle the ball as he is good at beating his guy of the bounce. Hitchcock-Tulare is new in the region and they have a quality squad as well.
