Here’s a look at some of the top underclassmen that were in attendance.
Shane Pendergrass Shane Pendergrass 6'8" | PF Mt. Zion | 2026 State MD | 6’8” PF | Gwynn Park 2025
Pendergrass is a young prospect on a talented Gwynn Park team that should help put them over the hump this year, as the 6’8” forward is already a walking mismatch with his skillset at his size that makes him so intriguing moving forward. He has very good ball skills for his size as he can step out and knock down shots consistently from deep, he can put it on the deck and get to spots or get downhill where he can finish at the rim and he can bang in the post as a finisher and a rebounder too.
Cam Ward | 6’6” WF | Largo 2025
Ward is widely considered the best prospect in the DMV in the 2025 class, and he showed why as the 6’6” wing is extremely versatile with an inside-out game that is very hard to guard in isolation situations. He faced double teams the entire time and still used his change of pace off the bounce to get in the lane where he can use his big frame to finish around the rim, he can score it on the perimeter or post up and finish in the paint and he’s a good rebounder on the offensive glass and on the defensive glass where he can start the break too.
Jayden Fort Jayden Fort 6'8" | PF Jackson-Reed | 2025 State #128 Nation MD | 6’7” PF | Jackson-Reed 2025
Fort is an up and coming young prospect to keep an eye on in the DC area as the 6’7” big man has a lot of potential moving forward and is just scratching the surface with how good he can be. He runs the floor hard and has great hands to catch tough passes on the run, he is a good athlete who can rise up and finish above the rim and he bangs in the post on the glass and when he seals to finish around the rim.
Aidan Argabright | 5’11” PG | St. Stephen’s St. Agnes 2025
Argabright is one of the top young lead guards in the NOVA area and he’s starting to come into his own right before our eyes as he looked super confident and played with moxxy at the event. He gets in the lane at will with his handle and ability to change speeds, he is a good finisher around the rim who can take contact and finish and-ones and he has great instincts and feel as a lead guard.
Silas Devonish | 5’8” PG | Bishop Ireton 2026
Devonish is a player who should come right on the scene in the WCAC and make a huge splash, as the 5’8” lead guard has game changing speed and a killer instinct you don’t see in many players his age. He’s dynamic in transition as he can out run anyone and is a one man fast break, he’s a dead eye shooter from deep who gets hot quickly and can fill it up in bunches and he’s a very good on ball defender who brings good energy on the defensive end.
Ian McCollen | 5’10” PG | National Christian 2026
McCollen is another young guard to keep an eye on in the DMV, as the 5’10” guard plays well beyond his years and showed he isn’t afraid of big matchups or big moments, hitting a game winner with confidence and being consistent the whole time. He has a good frame that makes him strong already for his age, he doesn’t get sped up and makes good decisions with the ball in his hands and he picks his spots and scores it efficiently from multiple levels.
