We move over to the small forwards. A good group of forwards who will be very important to their teams success for next season. If you took off some of these players their teams may even struggle to make the playoffs. Those are the players I am looking for here, as they are both top-end prospects and difference makers for their teams.
Here are the Top-10 most impactful small forwards in the AIA for this next season:
Koa Peat Koa Peat 6'8" | PF Perry | 2025 State #6 Nation AZ Perry (Pictured)
Mr. Team USA is an easy pick for the most impactful. He plays and defends almost all positions in the AIA. His physicality, size, skill, passing ability and power are rare traits for one player to have. They are the clear favorites to win it all in the Open Division.
Cody Williams Cody Williams 6'8" | SF Perry | 2023 State #25 Nation AZ Perry
Almost a 1 and 1A would be Williams. He is one of the biggest point forwards in the country and he had a phenomenal off-season. He makes plays, defends the 1-4, hits deep triples and plays way above the rim.
Arman Madi Arman Madi 6'7" | SF Brophy | 2023 State AZ Brophy Prep
A point forward with size and skill. He shoots it with volleyball line range and makes next level passes. His strong build and bounce allows him to board at a good clip.
Michael Simcoe Michael Simcoe 6'8" | PF Sandra Day O'Connor | 2025 State #217 Nation AZ SDO
One of the better sophomores in the AIA is a tough cover. He has a stronger frame, he springs up quickly to dunk it or grab a top of the box rebound. He can shoot it to the three point line and he is a fluid athlete. He may go 20 ppg and 10 rpg this season.
Carter Gittens Carter Gittens 6'5" | SF Sunrise Mountain | 2023 State AZ Sunrise Mountain
A live body senior is the face of the Mustangs. They will play through him on offense with scoring from inside and out plus he will grab rebounds in and out of his area. His energy on both sides of the court will help them possibly make a deep 5A run.
Ky Green Ky Green 6'6" | SF Liberty | 2023 State AZ Liberty
A possible top-5 team in the AIA has talent with Green’s imprints all over it. He is one of the top high flyers in the senior class and will defend most positions on the court. His shooting keeps making strides each season as well.
Elijah Williams Elijah Williams 6'5" | SF Brother Rice | 2026 State MI SCA
A top prospect coming in will turn the small school into an immediate contender. He can do many things on a court and has been challenged at the highest AAU level playing up two years. Even though he has not played in a high school game, he should be able to score, rebound and defend all front court and guard positions.
Andrew Bhesania Andrew Bhesania 6'8" | PF Boulder Creek | 2025 State #348 Nation AZ Boulder Creek
One of the bigger wing forwards in the AIA is pushing 6-foot eight. He has a high feel to facilitate, take the ball off the rim and go coast to coast. He can hit the three and straight line drive to the basket.
Kingston Tosi Kingston Tosi 6'7" | SF Millennium | 2025 State AZ Millennium
Another versatile forward can score it from inside and out. He has impressed early on in the fall and looks to keep it going during the season. The Tigers have a possible top-5 team and Tosi will be a major player shooting the three, grabbing rebounds, filling the lane in transition and defending.
Brayden Gant Brayden Gant 6'5" | SF Phhoenix Prep | 2024 State AZ Coolidge
A lesser known forward will be one of the best players in 3A this season. They came up short in the Chip last year but look to get back there this year. He plays four positions for them and can score from mid and in very consistently plus make plays and defend inside.
6 others who I seriously considered:
Corey Wood Corey Wood 6'7" | SF ALA-Ironwood | 2023 State AZ ALA-Ironwood
A bigger wing shooter can really spin it with deep range. He uses his size to get downhill to score and will rebound in his area.
D’Andre Harrison D’Andre Harrison 6'5" | PF Perry | 2025 State AZ Perry
A long lefty who is tough and skilled to the three point line and will score through contact inside. He will help the Pumas rebound, defend and play off of Peat and Williams.
Christian Warren Christian Warren 6'4" | SF Basha | 2024 State AZ Basha
A two-way wing who can make plays for his teammates, shoot the three, get downhill and defend the toughest player on each team.
Caspian Jones Caspian Jones 6'7" | SF St. Mary's | 2025 State AZ St. Mary’s
A bigger wing forward will be that Robin to Phipps Batman. He is a dynamic scorer from all three levels and he goes through stretches from the perimeter where he can’t miss. He uses his size to get downhill and flushes it down easily.
Jacob Webber Jacob Webber 6'5" | SF Scottsdale Christian Academy Transferring To Kearney/NE | 2026 NE SCA
One of the top shooters in the AIA and definitely in 3A. He has good size and he can make shots from all angles and levels. His pull-up is clean and he can catch and shoot it with range. He is the perfect compliment next to the other standout freshman Elijah Williams Elijah Williams 6'5" | SF Brother Rice | 2026 State MI .
Kolin J. Vance Kolin J. Vance 6'5" | SF Paradise Valley | 2023 State AZ Paradise Valley
A super athletic wing forward seems to glide in the air. He plays nearly all positions but will block shots, rebound and rim run about as good as you can. His shot making from the perimeter keeps improving and he is a difference maker on D.
