of Lakeville North (6’3, 2023). Ali played well for the Minnesota Select’s second or third team this past 17u year and he has caught our eye at camps too. But what about varsity basketball with the stacked Panthers? I thought he came off the bench and played really well against Osseo. He scored three times, didn’t force anything, moved his feet with a smaller quick guard keeping his length in front of them, and Ali rebounded some too. Was steady with the ball and scored on three of his four attempts. Impressive showing off the bench.
Brennen Bollig of Holy Family (6’3, 2023). The last couple weeks we’ve seen Brennen do a nice job defensively moving his feet on screens, getting length to the ball on defense, and playing hard. With the weapons the Fire have in Kapke, Mulholland, Cummings, and Hanson (and Paul Dorr – an all conference player from Cook County in Class A hoops – has transferred to Holy Family too so that could give them depth), Brennen does not need to score much, but he does offer a hard work defender and overall player. So far he’s been that as Holy Family challenges itself against top big school competition in the fall league.
Giles Lancaster of Mankato East (6’0 2023). This is a report from our southern fall league but that works of course as well! Giles is another reason why we think East will have a strong season. There is young talent all over the Cougar locker room but this shooter could step in and be one of the best feet set shooters in the Big Nine. Not to mention, Giles has a nice one/two dribble attack into the runner/pull-up.

of Hopkins (6’4, 2025). Sunday was a good chance to see what else the Royals have around their young, talented guards and big Vince inside. One of the answers is

, a 6’4 wing with big hair, big length, and some solid potential. Semanko had a couple nice finishes, he got to some spots on defense ending plays with his length and movement, and there were board contributions and as well as some good decision making move the ball on offense. Overall a solid showing for a player that has some promise.

of Rochester Century (6’5, 2024). This might be a name that people should start getting on their radar. Wysocki is a longer forward that moves well and scored inside and out this past weekend. His brother developed really well his last year at Century and is now at Minot State, and now we are seeing Shaun start to develop as a versatile two-way wing. Wysocki was in double digits in both games yesterday scoring in several ways.
