1. Collin Madson Collin Madson 6'4" | PG Mukwonago | 2023 State WI – Mukwonago
One of the biggest stock boosters from the summer, Madson is one of the best-kept secrets in the state. A prospect you want with the ball in his hands, Madson can control a game as a scorer or facilitator. At 6-foot-4, Madson has outstanding positional size, impacts the game across the board, and can lead his team in just about any category on any given night. There’s a huge list of schools on Madson right now. At the Division 2 level alone, Bemidji State, Concordia St. Paul, UW-Parkside, Minnesota State-Mankato, Colorado State-Pueblo, and Cedarville are all in contact.
Highlights
2. Braylen Blue Braylen Blue 6'3" | PG Madison Memorial | 2023 State WI – Madison Memorial
As a junior, Blue averaged 9.0 points and 3.4 assists per game for the Spartans. A long, lanky floor general with some of the best court vision in the state, Blue’s feel for the game and ability to see things before they happen still make him an intriguing late pickup. The upside is definitely there as well as Blue is nowhere near growing into his frame. He’s also an excellent catch-and-shoot guard and has a knack for being a zone buster when teams sit back and try to clog the paint.
3. Tyler Orr Tyler Orr 5'10" | PG Rice Lake | 2023 State WI – Rice Lake
St Leo, Hillsdale, Michigan Tech, Northern Michigan, and Winona State are all evaluating Orr at the Division 2 level. A skilled floor general that’s electric with the ball in his hands, Orr has some of the better handles in the state. Very good combination of speed and strength on the ball. There’s a certain suddenness about Orr when he makes his first move that can leave defenders in the dust. Orr is also a terrific shot creator who can play on and off the ball. He’s coming off a season in which he averaged 22 points, five rebounds, and three assists per game for Rice Lake.
4. Solomon Garrison Solomon Garrison 5'10" | PG Homestead | 2023 State WI – Homestead
Speed, elusiveness, and clutch plays down the stretch are three traits that Garrison brings to the table. Not sure there’s a faster player in the state with the ball in his hands than Garrison, who can get downhill and blow by a defender in the blink of an eye. Heading into his senior season, Garrison is hearing from Rockford, MSOE, and St. Norbert’s. He’s one of those prospects that if he were a little taller, Garrison would be highly coveted. At 5-foot-9, Garrison makes the most of what hee’s got and then some. Garrison makes everybody around him better. You take him off the floor and your team feels it. When he’s out there, the ball movement and intensity of the game are just different. Helping lead Homestead to a 24-3 record last season, Garrison averaged 13 points and six assists per game next to a Division 1 prospect.
5. Nic Williams Nic Williams 6'1" | PG La Crosse Central | 2023 State WI – La Crosse Central
Platteville and La Crosse were two of the schools on Williams hard. He was also speaking with Tennessee Tech over the summer. Think Williams is still a guy that can play his way to the Division 2 level. A bit of a late bloomer, Williams is a plus-length, athletic guard at 6-foot-3 who not only plays high-IQ basketball, but can take over games offensively as well. He was very unselfish early in his career, probably to a fault. Late in his junior season and throughout the summer, saw Williams start to blossom and find his way as a lead scorer. Part of a 28-2 Riverhawks squad that reached the Division 2 state title game, Williams posted 9.3 points and a team-high 3.4 assists per game.
Others: Mateo Jiminez (Edgewood), Drew Edmond Drew Edmond 6'0" | PG Brookfield Central | 2023 State WI (Brookfield Central), Jaeden Grade Jaeden Grade 5'11" | PG Laconia | 2023 State WI (Laconia), A.J. Uttech (Columbus)
