The Shore Conference has been one of the more consistent conferences over the past couple of seasons as six teams made the sectional finals with three of them winning the title. Red Bank Regional guard [player_tooltip player_id='1150283' first='Nick' last='Valentino'] committed to Kenyon over the weekend, but the conference is still filled with good guards who can make an impact at the next level. Here are the top available 2023 guard prospects in the Shore Conference.

[player_tooltip player_id='902736' first='Isaac' last='Hester'], 6'1 PG Ranney

Hester is one of the top returning scorers in the Shore and should put up similar numbers in 2022-23. The 6'1 guard has a good handle, which he uses to blow by his defender and can finish through contact around the basket. Hester has a smooth release on his jumper and can shoot either off the bounce or catch. He is a solid passer and moves his feet on the defensive end. Hester is a scoring lead guard prospect who is looking to lead Ranney back to the Non-Public B South title game.

[player_tooltip player_id='1400496' first='Josh' last='Michigan'], 6'4 SG Brick Memorial

Michigan was a key part of the Mustangs' offense last season and will be one to watch throughout the season. The 6'4 guard has sweet shooting stroke as he wastes little motion in his jumper and can knock down shots in bunches. Michigan moves well without the ball in his hands, freeing himself up for open layups and jumpers in the half court. He has an underrated handle and can score in the mid-range. Michigan is a sharpshooting guard prospect who has the potential to eclipse the 1,000-point mark this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1206544' first='Kevin' last='Burns'], 6'0 PG Point Pleasant Beach

Burns had a strong junior campaign for the Garnet Gulls as he did a little bit of everything for them. The 6'0 guard attacks the basket with a purpose as he is a good finisher around the basket and is unafraid of contact. Burns knows how to get to his spot on the floor and rises up nicely on his shot. He is a strong rebounder for a guard and gets his teammates involved in the half court. Burns had a pair of triple-doubles last season, and he should stuff the stat sheet for Point Pleasant Beach again in 2022-23.

[player_tooltip player_id='933644' first='Samir' last='Padilla'], 5'10 PG Jackson Memorial

Padilla is in store for a big senior season for the Jaguars who have the potential to make noise in 2022-23. The 5'10 floor general is lighting quick with the ball in his hands as he pushes the ball in transition and knows how to get into the paint. Padilla is a crafty finisher around the basket and does not mind contact. He can knock down jumpers from behind the arc and plays with quick hands on the defensive end. Padilla is the guy who runs the Jackson Memorial offense efficiently, which will help his stock in a big way.

[player_tooltip player_id='1206523' first='Jack' last='O'Leary'], 6'1 CG Raritan

O'Leary will be the go-to guy for the Rockets this season, which will help his game big time. The 6'1 guard is at his best attacking the basket as he is a solid finisher around the basket and can draw contact in the paint. O'Leary has a good mid-range game and is unafraid of taking big shots in crunch time. He can run the offense in a pinch and is an underrated defender. O'Leary's ability to play with and without the ball in his hands is something that will be vital for Raritan's success in 2022-23.

Other Prospects to Watch:

Jahlil Bethea, 6'2 SG Ranney

[player_tooltip player_id='1150543' first='Will' last='Bradley'], 6'2 SG CBA

[player_tooltip player_id='1013066' first='Respect' last='Tyleek'], 6'1 CG Jackson Memorial

[player_tooltip player_id='1025355' first='Keith' last='Adame'], 6'1 CG Jackson Memorial

[player_tooltip player_id='1402101' first='Joe' last='White'], 6'2 SG CBA

[player_tooltip player_id='1206532' first='Dylan' last='Csik'], 5'10 PG Middletown South
