Deisyn Payne – SG – 6'2” – 2025 Hesperia

He is a quick lefty guard that is hard to miss on any court he plays. He has a quick first step going both ways while also having a good shot to back up his own play. Being able to blow by any defender in front of him, he uses that skill to get wide-open shots for his teammates and also finishing through contact for easy buckets.

[player_tooltip player_id='1384639' first='Kellen' last='Hampton'] – SF – 6'7” – 2025 Moreau Catholic

As I have talked about him before, he is a guard trapped in a big man's body. He uses his size to his advantage by blowing past anyone in sight. The shot needs some work but he dominates on both ends of the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='1576758' first='Cody' last='Myers'] – SF – 6'4” – 2025 Vista

He was a player that caught me by surprise as he got better throughout the day. This lefty thrives as a 3 and D player and in the fast break. He has the ability to do a lot more than that, especially when he has smaller players guarding him.

[player_tooltip player_id='1587247' first='Blaine' last='Raagas'] – PG – 6'0” – 2025 Mt Carmel

The perfect example of a player that controls the game as a true point guard. He uses the opposition's strengths and weaknesses against them and takes advantage. The point guard is good under pressure and does a great job of controlling the pace of the game. Using his quick first step, he is able to set up his teammates, as well as score at will.

[player_tooltip player_id='1587346' first='Jack' last='Goodwin'] – SF – 6'3” – 2025 Mission Vista

A lengthy forward that contributes on both ends of the floor. He struggled with his shot a bit, but he makes them when he needs to. The young forward has great touch around the rim and in the open court as he does a great job finding open lanes.

[player_tooltip player_id='1587337' first='Giovanni' last='Navarro'] – PG – 5'7” – 2026 Mendota

Very undersized but he is only going into his Freshman year. He played well despite some tough competition on the other end. He is a great spot-up shooter and is able to use his quickness to get to the basket when he needs to.

[player_tooltip player_id='1587326' first='Cassius' last='Sands'] – PG – 5'7” – 2026 Great Oak

Another incoming Freshman that has some growing and muscle to build, but he was able to hold his own. An excellent shooter whether it was off the pass or off the dribble. He also did a great job of setting up his teammates for open shots.

These Freshmen and Sophomores have a lot to learn but they also have a lot of promise. They all were able to excel this past Saturday in their own ways and I am excited to watch their careers pan out.
