Tate McCubbin Tate McCubbin 6'7" | SF Battle | 2024 State MO (Battle, No. 49 to No. 8): The 6’6″ shooting guard was one of the state’s big stock risers as he displayed his excellent 3-point shooting throughout the summer with the MPJ Elite 16U squad. He is also a solid ball handler with good length and mobility. He also rebounds the ball well with his height. He picked up a Division I offer from SEMO during the summer. He is primed to have a big junior season.
Adam Rickman Adam Rickman 6'6" | SF Borgia | 2024 State MO (Borgia, No. 39 to No. 20): A 6’6″ combo forward who is one of the best in the state at attacking the basket and scoring in the lane through contact. He can get into the lane with a number of escape moves and he get buckets with either hand and from different angles. He plays with a strong motor at both ends of the court as he averaged 16 points, eight rebounds and three assists as a sophomore.
Iziah Purvey Iziah Purvey 6'5" | PF Webster Groves | 2024 State MO (Webster Groves, No. 12 to No. 4): A 6’5″ forward who made major strides as he helped lead the Statesmen to the Class 5 state championship last season. He is a matchup nightmare with his big body and high skill level from the perimeter. The big lefty can score in the paint with ease and he can also step outside and knock down jumpers and score on a variety of escape moves. He played this summer with the MoKan Elite 16U squad. He averaged 13 points and seven rebounds a game while shooting 58 percent from the field as a sophomore.
Quinn Sunderland Quinn Sunderland 6'10" | PF Lindbergh | 2024 State MO (Lindbergh, No. 42 to No. 13): A 6’8″ forward who made big strides over the summer while playing for the Gateway-Knights UA 16U squad. He is an excellent rim-protector who blocks and alters shots with his length and timing. He also has the athleticism to execute the chase-down block. His offensive game is also starting to come around as he is more assertive in his posting up and catching the ball. He finished the ball around the basket with more strength and authority.
Clayton Jackson Clayton Jackson 6'2" | PG Cardinal Ritter | 2024 State MO (Cardinal Ritter, No. 45 to No. 28): A 6’1″ point guard who was a starter on the Lions’ Class 5 state third-place team. He hit the game-winner at the buzzer on the third-place game. He was more of a distributor last season, but he blossomed as a full offensive threat during the summer with the Team Ramey 16U squad. He has good physical strength which enables him to power his way into the lane when he needs to. He can score on runners and short jumpers and he has 3-point range. He figures to play a much bigger role as a junior.
Jordyn Richard Jordyn Richard 6'5" | SF Vashon | 2024 State MO (Vashon, No. 81 to No. 32): A 6’5″ small forward who is one of the more impressive athletes in the class. He plays with a high motor at both ends, but his overall skill set is also starting to emerge. He can make a nice move off the dribble which can end up with a mid range jumper or a dunk on top of a defender’s head. He also excels as a rebounder and a defender who can guard multiple positions. He’s a fine all-purpose player.
Ashton Jermain Ashton Jermain 6'1" | PG Raymore-Peculiar | 2024 State MO (Raymore-Peculiar, No. 75 to No. 41): A 5’10” point guard who plays the game that reminds me a little of former Georgia Tech and Cleveland Cavs standout Mark Price. He’s a small guard with a dangerous 3-point shooting stroke and the ability to create off the dribble with his crafty moves. He’s a coach’s kid who also has a good feel for the game. His playmaking skills are also very solid. He averaged 13 points a game as a sophomore.
