In this edition of Film Study I am taking a look at some of the most athletic players from the expo and highlighting some aspects they have nailed, and where they can grow their games. These are some of the high potential athletic players that showed up at the Top 250 Expo.
It is clear to see Clemmons is a high-end athlete in the class of 2025. He’s bouncy, explosive to the rim, and can blow by defenders with relative ease. You can see the beginnings of his game forming; good crossover, aggressive finishing, and even some nice dishes inside working off of those drives. Watching him play, it seems he knows how much of an athletic advantage he has on most kids but this can lead to him overrunning his dribble or bulldogging his way into a tough shot. It’s early for the young guard but with some focused work he has the tools to develop into an outstanding player.
They don’t often make ’em like Robinson. He’s a big guy and with that comes superior natural strength not many have. He showed good aggression when getting the ball deep and when he went up quickly he was money, but there were just as many times he got caught in the defense and was a little too slow with his decision-making. When he perfects a few more post moves and doesn’t have to think so much rather than do, he’ll be a force inside as he showed in those moments when he acted fast getting easy buckets.

Parker is an interesting one to disect. Watching him play I could have sworn he was closer to 6’5. The 6’3 forward has some sneaky springs in those legs and displayed some hard work at the rim, leading to lots of easy buckets for the active big man. He’s a strong kid with a good motor and nice touch around the rim. The senior could be an underrated get for lower-level schools looking for hustle buckets, boards, and a good defender with plenty of room to grow.
Cunningham is long, raw, and filled with potential. Every time I see him play it seems he flashes the promise of a new skill, this time it was his vision on display. He ended up bringing the ball down for the first part of the game I saw and he found teammates off pick and rolls, back cuts, and drive and dish. It was an interesting wrinkle for the high-potential player who could be a true stat sheet stuffer. He’s a versatile prospect that will be a fun watch for me as he’s just down the road at Lincoln High School now.

Amari Harris
Harris is a great player to watch when he is attacking and being aggressive yet controlled. He has that scary combo for defenders of size and speed. He’s got a broad build that keeps space between him and defenders even when they appear right on him, and a great initial burst that often gets defenders on his hips where he can hold them off with his strength. Getting to the hoop was his M.O. but he also showed he can get hot from distance by splashing through a few threes. He’s been steadily progressing this summer and should be a name to watch in the 2024 class this season.
