Toledo Top 64 – 2023s Who Impressed

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Toledo Top 64 took place this past Sunday at Lourdes University. This event brought the top 64 players in the toledo area in front of college coaches before their high school season started. Shoots it well. Controls pace. We liked what Bishop brought to the table all day. The stocky lead guard was arguably the most prolific shooter at the event considering his range and pull-up ability. Uses ball screens well. We've talked mostly about his scoring ability so far but being under 6-foot, it's important Bishop brings more to the table, which he surely does. Unselfish playmaker who keeps his head up in the lane while driving. Just a super athletic kid who does it all athletically. He can guard almost every position. Jumps out of the gym and had multiple dunks all day which is very impressive as a kid that isn't that tallest. He is a very big body and is extremely strong. He picked up a JUCO offer last night and is someone that I expect to keep rolling in. He has great size and has lost some weight since the last time I saw him, looks like a completely different player because of it. He moves a lot better and his motor has gone up. He is sneakily good with IQ and I think could be a big-time player at the next level. He has a lot of tools. 6'4 wing that has a wide frame and can stroke it. He has a nice shot and can get to the rim. His mid-range is something that could develop nicely and add to his offensive game but he is someone that you should be willing to work with. Plays the game hard and does the dirty work. Does whatever is asked of him to win the game. He showed this more on Sunday. It seemed like his jumper improved as well from the last time I saw him play. He added range and it was quicker. He is a true modern stretch forward that any college should want.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1605205' first='Pharrell' last='House'] - 2023 - 6'6 W - Whitmer</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>House showed flashes to go with an eye-catching assortment of physical tools. The 6'6” combo forward moves really well and threw down an athletic dunk in transition. He is a 6'5 wing that is super long. He dunked almost every time he was around the rim, effortlessly. His skill lacks just a bit but he can still put the ball in the basket. I think a JUCO school would and should fall in love with him. You can't teach athleticism and you can't teach or find what Romel has everywhere.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
