Top 45
#41 Xavier Herron Xavier Herron 6'0" | PG Hillcrest | 2024 State TN (Hillcrest)
Xavier Herron Xavier Herron 6'0" | PG Hillcrest | 2024 State TN plays with a powerful base and intimidating explosion. Herron defends very aggressively though cleanly from multiple points on the court. The sturdy guard thrives picking up fullcourt or hounding near mid-court. At this stage of development he often boasts the muscular advantage over opponents, even older opponents. Strength is commonly the physical attribute most often surpassed or equaled as a prospect ages. The strong young players are certainly ahead, but multitudes of players mature physically and that advantage becomes negligible.
#42 Fred Bailey Fred Bailey 6'1" | PG JPII | 2024 State TN (Pope Prep / Team Mookie)
Head Coach Charles Wade entrusted Fred Bailey Fred Bailey 6'1" | PG JPII | 2024 State TN with a massive role early. Thanks to his sophomore experience, Pope Prep will not run out a still-young yet unusually seasoned star. Bailey established himself at the high school level with an unusually well-rounded game featuring excellent composure, good handles, strong frame, exceptional free throw shooting, etc.
#43 Hudson Gill Hudson Gill 6'7" | SF Hendersonville | 2024 State TN (Hendersonville)
During his 20 AAU games, Hudson recorded a 63.6 eFG%. The traditional stats wowed too: 13.3 ppg, 9.1 rpg, 0.8 bpg.
#44 Mays McCoy Mays McCoy 6'4" | SF Fairview | 2024 TN (Fairview/ Tennessee Panthers AAU)
Mays averaged 18 ppg and 10ish rpg during AAU with the established Tennessee Panthers playing mostly 1-3. “I’m very pleased to see the leap in rebounding, especially versus D1 and D2 athletes,” said Fairview Head Coach McCoy early September during a brief DM interview with @PrepHoopsTN. “With our high school team, he grew a lot as a 1-on-1 scorer and defender.” When younger Mays played the “4” and it probably encouraged his rebounding development. Now McCoy is among the best rebounders in Tennessee.
#45 Maddux Bodenhamer Maddux Bodenhamer 6'1" | PG Antioch | 2024 State TN (Riverdale/Team Mookie)
Elite passer. Vocal floor leader. Wonderful vision and patience in the halfcourt. Maddux will not be a Top 20 guy in this class without a dramatic improvement in his three-point shooting. It is passable perhaps, but his weakest skill is that deep ball. Good not game-changing athleticism.
