Preseason Player of the Year: 2023 [player_tooltip player_id='956876' first='Chase' last='Henderson'] (Hoover)

The future Montana Grizzlies point guard is a cat-quick guard who can score from all three levels in bunches as well as get others involved at a high clip. He should have a huge senior season for a Hoover team that will open the year ranked #1 in Class 3A by us.

A big-time three-level scorer who uses his quickness to blow by defenders and get to the bucket at will, Henderson is coming off an excellent summer with Nebraska Supreme in which he scored efficiently, protected the ball, and was a great distributor.

Lueth may not have the big scoring numbers that the rest of the first-team members have, but he's arguably the best defensive player in the state and he should become the focal point of the Cyclones attack this year following a number of major losses to graduation. A long and athletic 6-7 wing defender, he provides a ton of value on both ends of the floor as a shooter and versatile defender.

The Robin to Henderson's Batman, Vos is a versatile three-level scorer who isn't afraid to take smaller defenders down onto the block for buckets. He has a smooth stroke from deep and contributes well on the glass.

2024 [player_tooltip player_id='1171658' first='Trovary' last='Cavil'] (Lincoln): 17.1 points, 3.2 rebounds, 5.2 assists, 1.5 steals, 77.8 FT%

Cavil has been one of the top scoring guards in the CIML during his first two high school seasons, and he'll continue that dominant play in the Iowa Alliance. A shifty guard with excellent handles, he's armed with a deadly mid-range game and has become a more efficient scorer over the last 12 months.

A big, physical wing, Jones enjoyed a breakout junior year for the Trojans, pouring in over 17 points a game with impressive 52-37-79 shooting splits. He has a quick release off the catch and has really improved his ability to create his own looks.
