PrepHoopsTN Combine Evaluations: Part XXI
The annual @PrepHoopsTN Summer Combine featured nearly 50 aspiring college prospects. For the rest of the summer we will be featuring the campers with evaluations and measurements from the day.
Brayden Beavers | PG/SG | Cleveland | Pro One-TN
How did he measure against the competition?
- Class of 2026
- 5'7"
- Wingspan - 5'7.5"
- Hand Span -- 8.25"
- Hand Length -- 7.0"
- 3/4 Court Sprint -- 4.2, 4.4
- Lane Agility -- 11.58, 11.49
- Shuttle Run -- 3.5, 3.3
- Camp Ranking -- #40
NBA Stylistic Comparison: 2020 Blazers Keljin Blevins
Brayden's sprint time was nearly average for a 16 year old guard, while Beavers is just beginning his high school career this fall, and nowhere near 16 years old just yet. His speed projects nicely.
Beavers' change of direction (11.49 lane agility) needs to improve. Of course it will with the natural physical maturity to come, but he can accelerate that improvement with plyometric work and fartlek training.
Of all three speed-centered tests, Brayden performed best in the shuttle run. The shuttle is a test of lateral mobility coupled with change of direction. It is brief and all about sharp cuts from one side of the lane to the other. He registered a very promising 3.3 second time. Only three players of the 40+ in attendance bested a 3.3, while several equaled it.
Brayden Beavers entered the gym either the youngest or nearly the youngest. He did not play young or timid.
Needs to get lower on defense. His mid-section is a little too high.
Will be high-academic recruit.
Brayden's greatest intangibles are discipline and commitment.
Technical player. Always looks for his box-out assignment. Shoots with beautiful form.

How did he measure against the competition?
- Class of 2025
- 5'7"
- Wingspan -- 5'10.5"
- 3/4 Court Sprint -- 3.9, 3.9
- Shuttle Run -- 3.7, 3.5
- Camp Ranking -- #35
NBA Stylistic Comparison: 2021 Clippers Reggie Jackson
Blazingly fast. Offensively, Nikolas is very direct. Decisive. He makes up his mind quickly and acts quicker than defenders can. Already, Sanderfer is fantastic at beating the transition defense down the floor with his dribble and typically makes smart passes or drives in the open floor. His decision-making in the halfcourt can benefit from seasoning and coaching.
Sanderfer slides his feet at a very strong level. He does not reach often, though his hands and reactions are quick.

measured with a 5'10.5" wingspan, good enough for a +3.5" difference from his height to wingspan. In the basketball business, this is often referred to as the nebulously-phrased "good length".
His outside shooting needs to improve. Shooting off the dribble is ok, but can use some extra work.
Understands court balance very well. Plays unselfishly, especially on defense.
Tough, but not powerful just yet. Nikolas could add some good weight, to chest/shoulders and core. Needs to be able to finish after the bump.
Good lower-body balance. Speedy with the basketball at the ready. Sandefer is wonderful both getting into the lane and slipping past a defender in the open floor. His top talent is dribbling and escaping via the dribble.
