Another Prep Hoops Illinois Top 250 just finished this past weekend and as always I left being impressed with several players that I saw for the first time. Here are the players who made great first impression on me at this year's camp.

[player_tooltip player_id='1295570' first='Austin' last='Kulig'] (Andrew) 6'7 Sr.

One of the biggest eye openers this weekend for me was Austin. At 6'7 he fits the bills as a legit wing player who could have reps as a stretch four. Kulig has good ball skills and fluidity on the wing. He can make shots from all three levels and is very springy around the rim. Austin rebounded the ball regularly and was able to handle pressure while pushing the rock. He has the skill set that colleges coaches like to see for a player his size. I can see some D2s become very interested in Kulig.

[player_tooltip player_id='1385290' first='Amari' last='Edwards'] (St. Rita) 5'8 Soph.

I think Amari was one of the better lead guards at the camp this weekend. His knowledge of where everyone on the court was exciting to see. Edwards showed he can also score from all three levels. Started off with some shots from three-point range. Then added some mid-range pull up shots off ball screen. Even at his size Amari will attack defenders at the rim. No doubt Edwards has the IQ and skill set for a Division 1 program. Let's just see how he is able to play when the game becomes more physical.

[player_tooltip player_id='1598697' first='Edvin' last='Bosnjak'] (Schaumburg) 6'8 Sr.

Edvin had many people on social media asking me to watch him and when I left impressed. A late blooming big man Bosnjak is very long and active forward who rebounds the ball well. Can take a bump and finish in the paint. What was very surprising was his shot from the three. It isn't the prettiest shot but he can make it and he looked comfortable shooting it. Edvin is also a really good rim protector and wouldn't be surprised if he is able to snatch rebounds and push the ball at times. Bosnjak will be on many schools radar come the end of the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1598709' first='Germaine' last='Benson'] (Hyde Park) 6'0 Jr.

Benson has that old school street ball game. He is at his best when beating guys off the dribble with his crossover and initiating contact before scoring thru defenders. Germaine is a stocky forward with good balance. At times I would be watching one court then turn around and Benson is scoring again. He fits that rugged guard the Hyde Park has that does the dirty work.

[player_tooltip player_id='1313851' first='Aaron' last='Brown'] (Romeoville) 6'5 Sr.

Brown was another player that I saw throughout the day that was constantly making plays on both ends. He is a forward that can play in the post or on the perimeter. Aaron was physical on his drives to the rim. He made several straight-lined moves through contact for scores. Brown was terrific on defense as well, showing good timing on block shots as well as moving his feet to keep smaller guards in front on him on switches. Aaron can rebound and push the ball on fastbreaks. Brown has had a few colleges on his radar and will be sure to add more to the list during this upcoming season.
