Beya Kim Beya Kim 6'3" | SF Roosevelt | 2023 State OR (2023 Roosevelt)
Kim is a high flyer and showcased that with several finishes right around the rim. In addition to his vertical leap, he’s also got wiry strength which allows him to finish through contact. Kim has been working on his perimeter shooting and settled for threes at times but was very effective getting to the cup.
Josiah Lake Josiah Lake 6'1" | PG Tualatin | 2023 State OR (2023 Tualatin)
One thing we got accustomed to seeing during the season was Lake flying out of nowhere to grab a rebound. He did this on several occasions at the Top 250 Expo, showing why he’s considered one of the best backcourt rebounders in the state. He was ultra fast off the dribble too and got to the hoop seemingly whenever he wanted.
Chance White Chance White 6'0" | CG Roosevelt | 2024 State OR (2024 Roosevelt)
White has tremendous quickness and is one of the fastest players in the state. At the event he essentially got to the hoop at will wish his quick first step and explosion into the lane. A tremendous leaper, White finishes at the rim and all of his quickness and athleticism comes in very handy on the defensive end as well.
Kamar Benbo Kamar Benbo 6'3" | SG Parkrose | 2024 State OR (2024 Benson)
Benbo showed off a real hop in his step which gave him the edge over defenders helping him with his ability to create his own shot. His vertical leap was evident with his jumper as he elevated high over outstretched arms to get his shot off. He was outstanding in transition and finished plays above the rim.
Jackson Owens Jackson Owens 6'3" | CG Cleveland | 2024 State OR (2024 Cleveland)
Blessed with a strong physique, Owens capably got into the lane and muscled past and over defenders for scores. In addition to his power though, the 6-foot-4 swingman has some spring in his step. He showed off the ability to play above the rim and one of his follow dunks in transition certainly garnered plenty of oohs and ahhs from those watching.
Andre Niko Andre Niko 6'4" | SF The Dalles | 2024 OR (2024 The Dalles)
Built like a linebacker – something he doubles as on the gridiron – Niko easily bullied his way past defenders in the paint. But the 6-foot-4 isn’t just about brute strength, he’s very light on his feet and honestly moves like a guard. He ran up and down the floor with ease, often beating his opponents for easy scoring opportunities.
Gianni Altman Gianni Altman 5'10" | PG Gold Beach | 2023 State OR (2023 Gold Beach)
There is no question Altman possessed some of the top athleticism out of any of the guards at the event. The 5-foot-10 senior was a jet all over the court and was flying all over the place on both ends of the floor. Long and lanky, Altman also has an outstanding vertical leap and was grabbing balls off the rim.
Jaydus Green (2024 Stellacoom-WA)
Green passed the look test the second he walked into the building. The 6-foot-4 junior easily glided up and down the floor so it came as no surprise to learn he’s a talented wide receiver on the football field. He was creative with the basketball playing some at the point, finding open teammates or converting athletic drives to the hoop.
