The class of 2025 rankings have been updated. The list has expanded from 50 to well over 100 prospects. During the shut down there was limited opportunity to see this class play, therefore with the opening there were plenty of new names, and a few that will drop with the expanded list. Here at Prep Hoops NorCal our goal is to evaluate as many prospects as we can. In this group we have prospects who were already on the list but have raised their level of play.

[player_tooltip player_id='1384447' first='Jasir' last='Rencher'] 6'5 W/F of Archbishop Riordan HS #13 to 4

Rencher has made steady progress throughout the spring and summer. He stock rose at Section 7. He's always been a prospect who brings good energy to the court. He seems to be playing with a purpose now. At Section 7 he showed improvement with his jump shot, spotting up for corner for 3's, using his dribble, and body control to take it strong to the rim for contested shots. He'll get rebounds and defend multiple positions. He picked up a couple of DI offers with Team Lillard 15 playing on the Adidas Circuit

[player_tooltip player_id='1384449' first='Anthony' last='Moore'] 6'5 W/F of Lincoln HS, Stockton #10 to 7

Moore has gradually added pieces to his game this spring and summer, an improved shot from behind the 3pt line, and a dribble drive mid-range jumper, that's going in. He has some strengthening to do but he's has a good frame and length to build upon. He's good around the basket, does a good job of looking for ways to finish in transition. He has the length to get rebounds, defend the post, and on the perimeter. He has some shot blocking qualities.

[player_tooltip player_id='1389039' first='Jace' last='Thompson'] 6'3 SG of Rio Americano HS #14 to 9

Thompson looks to be one of the better 3pt shooters in this 2025 NorCal class. He can light it up from 3 if you allow him to get into a rhythm, or open looks. He moves well without the ball using screens to free himself up for quick releases, sometimes getting back door layups for over playing defenders. He sits ready for the catch and shoot in the corners. He doesn't force shots, he's a good ball mover.

[player_tooltip player_id='1384823' first='Jaden' last='Spears'] 6'3 SG of Sheldon HS WL to #19

Spears has a good upside, you can see he's still learning the game. He's a long rangy prospect still growing. He has a good frame and will eventually add muscle. He plays with confidence and has a good set of tools to work with. He's pretty solid 15ft and in right now, hitting short jumpers, using his dribble get closer to the basket where he will challenge. He can hit the paint jumper, as long as he stays involved working for points, and rebounds inside, he can have an impact. He has length but needs to get stronger defending in the post area, he does have a willingness and some toughness to go along with it the effort.

[player_tooltip player_id='1384646' first='Brayden' last='Harris'] 6'3 SG Bellarmine College Prep #25 to 24

Harris was one of the few NorCal 2025 prospects who spent the spring and summer playing 17U. You could see the physical difference. The good part is there was no lack in confidence and his ability to knock down the open 3pt shot. He used good handles and passing in transition, he found ways to the rim, using balance and off handed finishes to avoid hard contact. He's long and wiry. He's put in good work tuning and strengthening his body in the off season. W'ell keep an eye on him.

[player_tooltip player_id='1384644' first='John' last='Tofi'] 6'4 W/F of Sheldon HS. WL to 33

He's long and wiry with a good shooting touch. He has a mid-range jumper he uses from different angles to generate points. He's stronger than he looks, and can finish in the paint. He'll help battle for rebounds, defend bigger players in the post. He runs the court pretty well in transition making good decisions, and good passes. He'll knock down transition 3's if he's open.
