Labor Day Weekend is here, meaning the new school year is about to begin in the Garden State. Prospects are preparing for a new season on the hardwood, especially the junior class. Here are the 2024 wing prospects who should breakout this winter.

[player_tooltip player_id='902737' first='Zack' last='Davis'], 6'7 SF Peddie

Davis moved to Peddie in the summer and entered the 2024 class, where he will be an intriguing prospect to watch. The 6'7 forward is comfortable on the perimeter as he has a nice release on his jumper and sets his feet before he shoots. Davis can put the ball on the floor and is capable of finishing through contact around the basket. He is a solid rebounder and moves his feet on the defensive end. Davis's ability to stretch the floor is something that will help his game in a big way in 2022-23.

[player_tooltip player_id='1406997' first='Izaiah' last='Cannon'], 6'4 SG Olympus Prep

Cannon will most likely play in the backcourt at the next level but can also play on the wing. The 6'4 guard has a good handle, which he uses to get to the basket and finish. Cannon can also score in the mid-range and plays under control in the half court. He has the length to defend multiple positions on the floor and is an underrated passer. Cannon will be a prospect to watch in Jersey with his ability to get to the rim and finish.

[player_tooltip player_id='1226082' first='Khalid' last='Bakare'], 6'5 SG St. Benedict's

Bakare is part of a loaded Grey Bees squad, but he still has the potential to breakout with his ability to make plays on both ends of the floor. The 6'5 wing is a good on-ball defender as he slides his feet well and makes it tough for his opponent to get a good shot in the half court. Bakare moves well without the ball in his hands, creating open layups and jumpers for himself. He can knock down open jumpers on the perimeter and is a solid finisher around the basket. Bakare is a two-way wing prospect who should get more looks on the offensive end.

[player_tooltip player_id='1153989' first='Philip' last='Jake Unangst'], 6'6 SF Hillsborough

Unangst should make an instant impact for Hillsborough as he provides the Raiders with an intriguing forward prospect. The St. Thomas Aquinas transfer explodes off the floor for dunks and is capable of drawing contact in the paint. Unangst shoots the ball with confidence on the perimeter and can knock down shots either off the dribble or the catch. He uses his long arms to make plays on the defensive end and skies for rebounds on both ends of the floor. Unangst has the potential to breakout this winter as he makes plays on both ends of the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='1406989' first='Johnny' last='Kelly'], 6'6 SF Rutgers Prep

Kelly had a strong summer with the NJ Panthers, and it should carry over into the season with the Argonauts. The 6'6 forward is at his best attacking the basket as he is a strong finisher and does not mind contact. Kelly is more than just a slasher as he can knock down jumpers on the perimeter and has a nice release on his shot. He is a solid rebounder and is a good interior defender. Kelly will provide Rutgers Prep with a good interior presence, which the Argonauts will need in 2022-23.

Other Prospects to Watch:

[player_tooltip player_id='1050401' first='Andrew' last='Buck'], 6'2 SG Ranney School

[player_tooltip player_id='1273936' first='Daniel' last='Yarus'], 6'6 SF Spotswood

[player_tooltip player_id='1401992' first='LJ' last='Falconi'], 6'4 SG St. Mary's Rutherford

[player_tooltip player_id='1273938' first='Johnny' last='Magner'], 6'4 SG Bridgewater-Raritan

[player_tooltip player_id='1273934' first='John' last='Kelly'], 6'3 SF Watchung Hills
