Quinn Blackburn (Pacific): The big-bodied 6’8″ forward did a nice job of showcasing his overall skill set. He has excellent moves and good footwork in the low post and a nice shooting touch to boot. He’s big and strong, but his finesse moves are also very effective. He can also get things down from the high post and perimeter with his good turn and face game. He can put the ball on the floor to make a move or he can step out and knock down the 3-pointer.
Harrison Doennig Harrison Doennig 6'6" | PF Springfield Kickapoo | 2023 State MO (Kickapoo): The 6’7″ 2023 forward played with his usual high motor at both ends of the court. He was one of the top rebounders at the camp as he did a good job on hunting boards. When he got a rebound, he was not afraid to lead the break himself and attack the basket. He was strong and physical in the low post and ran the court at every opportunity.
Vance Peiffer (Walker, IA): A 6’7″ 2023 forward from Iowa who was one of the most impressive players that I saw at the event. He could get his buckets in the low post or on the perimeter with equal effectiveness. In the first game, he started off with a 3-pointer off the pick and pop, then followed up with a baseline drive and a big dunk over someone’s head. His passing was very good out of the post and he had an excellent jump hook inside over the left shoulder.
Caleb Brooks (Union, KY): A 6’9″ 2024 forward who is long and mobile with a serious shooting stroke from 3-point range. He was hitting the Trail 3 in transition and he could also operate in the pick and pop. He’s also a hard-working player inside who can score and rebound. He had some nice moves in the transition game, including a few euro-steps that led to buckets.
Aiden Sullivan (Olathe, KS): I saw this 6’7″ 2024 forward at a tournament in St. Louis last month and I was very impressed with them. Nothing has changed as he was very good on Sunday. He had some very good footwork in the low post and a variety of moves. He could attack off the dribble and his turn and face game was also very good. He spent a lot of time at the free throw line.
Nelson Shinkle Nelson Shinkle 6'8" | PF Jefferson City | 2024 State MO (Jefferson City): A 6’7 2024 forward who did a nice job operating in the low post and stepping out on the perimeter. His moves were fluid inside and he can score with both hands. He was just as comfortable facing the basket and making a play on the drive and shooting the jumper.
Lucas Lueth (Ames, IA): A 6’7″ 2023 forward who was a matchup problem with his height and versatile skill set. He can play the Stretch 4 position well with his ability to hit the 3-pointer along with his ability to get to the rim off the dribble. He runs the court with ease and he made some very explosive plays at the rim during the camp.
Roman Phillips Roman Phillips 6'8" | PF Atlanta | 2023 State MO (Atlanta): A 6’8″ 2023 forward who is a Class 1 standout who held his own against some very good bigs on Sunday. He was very active at both ends of the court with some very good rebounding and shot blocking. When he got the ball inside, he was able to finish well with both hands.
Wyatt Lind (Rock Bridge): A 6’5 2024 forward who is very mobile. He has an excellent shooting touch from the high post area. Ho moves well to get to the open spots.
Matt Noll (Sioux City, IA): A 6’5 2024 forward who has a solid body and plays a strong game in the lane. He also scored on some tough takes along the baseline. He was also capable of hitting the open 3-pointer.
