As we work our way through the updated 2023 positional rankings we touch on a deep group of forwards who can play multiple position on the court at the high school level. Most are at least 6'5 and can handle and pass as well as guards, others will get their fare share of rebounds, and points in the paint.

[player_tooltip player_id='950886' first='Tyler' last='Harris'] 6'6 of Salesian Prep HS (Featured)

Harris the long wiry prospect seems to have hit his stride leading up Section 7 in Arizona. He's always had the handles to get to where he wants to go. He seemed more aggressive, and energetic with his ball handling as he maneuvers his way around and into the paint for points off the glass and emphatic dunks. He's a bit stronger, longer and is converting his shots in the paint more often than not, including his paint jumper. He's an excellent ball handler and passer with the skill-set to play 5 spots on the court at this level.

[player_tooltip player_id='950938' first='Derek' last='Sangster'] 6'7 of Archbishop Mitty HS

Sangster will play at Princeton University in the Ivy League after his high school days are done. He's continued to grow his body, and improve his skill set as a player who can effectively operate on the perimeter. He looks confident putting up 3's and using his dribble to get into the paint. His length, and new strength should add to his rebound totals and points in the paint this season for the Monarchs.

[player_tooltip player_id='950894' first='Jordan' last='Bobo'] 6'8 of Grant HS

Coming into his Senior season Bobo is poised and ready for a breakout season. Hoping to lead this team in scoring, rebounding, and blocks if he continues to be productive in the paint. He could been seen as a stretch four down the road. He's always been a player who has the skills, and comfort at 6'8 to operate on the perimeter. He has decent handles, passes okay and he looks to shoot his 3pt shot without much hesitation if open. He now knows he's hard to guard in the post area with his size and strength.

[player_tooltip player_id='1114844' first='Aden' last='Curry'] 6'4 of Santa Cruz HS

Curry has been steadily improving his all around game. At 6'4, he's as tough as they come. He's willing to bump, and bang for points and rebounds in the paint. His most notable improvements are his play on the perimeter. He's had some success shooting 3ptrs in the corner, and perimeter. He's using an improved handle to get his mid-range jumper off the bounce, and into the paint. He gives good effort on the court.

[player_tooltip player_id='1253144' first='Jake' last='King'] 6'5 of Clayton Valley Charter HS

King is most noted for his chatter on the the defensive side of the ball. He's a versatile player that has toughness along with the smarts to be an effective player on the court. He hits corner 3's. He has an effective post game, and works well 15ft and in including hitting short jumpers consistently. He hits the boards on both ends regularly.

[player_tooltip player_id='950892' first='George' last='Gale'] 6'6 of The Branson HS

Gale played well, and is a key contributor for the teams he plays on high school, and club. He raised his stock at Section 7 and in the spring and summer with his play on the court. He knocks down the corner 3 at a good rate, he works the baseline finishing with dunks often. His length helps him rebound and defend in the paint area. He has long strides that makes him a good court runner.

[player_tooltip player_id='1255642' first='Emerson' last='Jones'] 6'5 of Salesian College Prep HS

The hard playing active forward has length, and speed to be a standout defensive player. He can guard multiple positions, out on the perimeter, in the post, and is a good man to use up top and on the wings in trapping situations. He has quick jumps working for rebounds, and put back point. He's improved his shot making in the post area.

[player_tooltip player_id='1256423' first='Robert' last='Morgan'] 6'4 of Moreau Catholic HS

Morgan has improved his game across the board. In the past you could count on him to work hard defending taller players in the post and working to get rebounds for his team. His handles and strength allow him to attack from the perimeter, and finish strong in transition. He's a capable scorer working within the post area.
