There were about 50 campers from 6th grade-9th grade.
I focused on 8th grade and the incoming freshman.
Here were some of the standouts of the camp:
Darius Wabbington Darius Wabbington 6'10" | C Sunnyslope | 2027 State AZ 2027 undecided (Pictured)
A rare true big has soft hands, a nice touch around the rim, he is extremely patient and can create a little for himself in the paint. He surprisingly will hit shots from the perimeter fairly easily and plays the game with a big IQ. His father played at the D1 level. He should go straight to varsity next year.
Delton Prescott III Delton Prescott III 5'11" | PG Sunnyslope | 2027 State AZ 2027 undecided
A scoring point guard has the ball on a string type of handle. He is strong, shifty and he always seems to make the correct play. He also can really shoot it. He has a nice mid-range pull-up and a deep three ball. He can spray the ball around with either hand and times it when you should. Look for him to have a chance of starting next year on a varsity team.
Adrian Higuera Adrian Higuera 6'0" | PG Millennium | 2027 State AZ 2027 undecided
A pure point guard is almost a throwback. He advance passes, drives and kicks and dribbles with his left hand just as good as his dominant right. He made a few live dribble passes with his left that many HS players don’t make straight into his teammates shooting pocket. He gets downhill with his quickness and smooth handle and score on floaters and euros plus will hit the catch-3. He may also be a day-1 starter on varsity.
Bryson Krueger II Bryson Krueger II 6'2" | SF Basha | 2026 State AZ 2026 Basha
The son of Bryson Krueger (ASU) is a super long wing who can defend and shoot. He has a high arcing stroke to the three point line, he cuts when he should and can get downhill. He is best off the catch and will defend multiple positions with his unusually long arms.
Johnny Rios Jr PG 5’7 2026 Centennial
A jet quick scoring point guard has a tight handle and legit open court speed. He is undersized but he has a different gear then most. He can catch and shoot from the perimeter but actually prefers to shoot it off the dribble. He will add depth to their senior guard group. He even got quality minutes already at Section-7.
Levi Carter Levi Carter 6'0" | PG Willow Canyon | 2027 State AZ SG 5’10 2027 Willow Canyon or Centennial
A high IQ shooter has some shift in his handle and confidence. He can catch and shoot it from the three point line and get a step on his defender and finish off layups. He plays from the neck up and should have a good HS career.
