Now that the initial release is behind us it is time to dive deeper into the rankings and highlight some stock-risers, new names, and more. We will begin with six prospects who made the biggest jump in the rankings since our last update. The rising sophomore class always experiences more moving other other classes so there are some big jumps to highlight here! Let’s dive on in.
This 6’5″ skilled wing played up a year with DI Indiana 2024 on the UA Rise Circuit and proved himself as one of the better long-term prospects in the rising sophomore class. Murphy Jr. is long and thin with guard level skill on the perimeter. He can knock down open catch-and-shoot three-pointers, attack closeouts off of the bounce, and is really dangerous in transition. His strong summer catapulted him from #21 to #10 in our prospect rankings.
You can expect to start hearing a lot more from this 6’8″ forward heading into his sophomore season. Pickett is a mobile forward that runs the floor well, rebounds on both ends, and can score in a variety of ways. Love his versatility and the way he moves at his size. Jumped from #32 to #13 overall in the class and it wouldn’t be shocking to see him in the Top 10 before all is said and done.
Cooper was one of several very talented prospects that led Team Teague 2025 to a perfect record on the Prep Hoops Circuit. He is a talented three-level scorer that creates for himself consistently off of the dribble. Really showed off his shot-making ability over the summer. The 6’0″ guard was one of the biggest risers going from #49 to #19 overall in this rankings update.
At 6’5″ with impressive sneaky athleticism, Betten was one prospect that really caught my attention throughout the spring and summer. Playing on the EYBL Circuit with Indy Heat 2025, the versatile forward from Manchester High School more than held his own scoring the ball in a variety of ways from all over the floor. His strong played helped him jump from #50 to #25 overall in the new rankings update as well. Definitely a name to remember.
Highlights
Another Team Teague 2025 prospect worked his way up the Prep Hoops prospect rankings after a strong summer. Horton, a versatile 6’3″ wing, has continued to improve in every facet of his game. The length and athleticism have always been there, but he has gotten more consistent as a shooting threat and can really attack off of the dribble as well. Horton took his ranking from #46 to #26 overall.
Highlights
Thomas is one of many talented point guards in this Class of 2025 that features some truly dynamic playmaking abilities. He is an excellent passer while maintaining a constant scoring threat when he has the basketball. After being on the Watch List originally, the 5’11” Thomas has now risen to #29 overall. Expect a breakout sophomore season as part of a very talented backcourt at Concordia Lutheran.
