No. 1 | Gallagher leads the way on the Eastside as one of the top scorers from the region. Liberty loses two leaders in the backcourt from a year ago and Gallagher will be asked to be a steady force all year long. He’s got the tools to top the KingCo in scoring and should see his averages from last season (21.2/8.7/3.4) jump up across the board.
No. 2 | Reilly is a big lefty stroker who may not appear that fast or bursty, but don’t be fooled, the big guard has some shake. The first thing I thought when I saw him was Sam Perkins. Big, lefty, stroking threes, putting the ball on the floor, and even had the knee sleeve too. I still think that comparison works for Reilly, just put him at the guard spot. He’s highly skilled and one of the top scorers on the Eastside. He’ll lead a Skyline squad who came up just short of a regional game last season.
Highlights
No. 3 | Eli Cain was a big-time factor in an impressive late-season run by Graham Kapowsin last season that ended on day three at the T-Dome. He now moves over to the Kentridge Chargers and hopes to spur an attack led by the backcourt. Cain provides good shooting from beyond the arc and excellent skill in getting to the hoop. It will be interesting to see how the backcourt fits together but they won’t be lacking talent.
No. 4 | Crandall is taking off to play football at Colorado State when he graduates, but until then he’s going to grace the courts at Skyline for one more year. He provides great balance in the backcourt next to Dylan Reilly Dylan Reilly 6’6″ | SG Skyline | 2023 State WA , Kyler Pryzbyski, and emerging ’24 guard Caden Culver Caden Culver 5’10” | PG Skyline | 2024 State WA . Crandall can handle point responsibilities, nail shots from the mid-range, and set the tone defensively with tough on-ball defense.
No. 5 | Abdulkadir led Sammamish’s scoring attack last season with a combo of reliable long-range shooting, and some shifty moves that regularly got him in the paint where he did damage. He’s a strong guard that’s not going to necessarily jump over you or blow by defenders, but he’s smart attacking the defense and has a nice array of moves that get him in the heart of the defense. Abdulkadir had some big games this summer and should be a big presence on the Eastside this winter.
