He’s a reminder that the BCIAA produces talent. But he’s not the only one in their senior class. Here are the top 2023s in Berks County.
JayJay’s change of direction and burst as a RB/CB in football translate into paint touches on the hardwood. The two-sport star led the Saints to a BC title game appearance and the District 3/Class 4A chip with 15.6 pts/g in ‘21-22. Whether he’s breaking a press or handling in the halfcourt, Jordan’s ability to get downhill opens up everything else. @JayJay4
Ryan Koch
Ryan Koch
A first team all-division 1 in his own right, Ryan can fill it up from deep as a movement shooter. He uses shot-fakes to set up pull-up jumpers and drives to the basket. His defensive impact comes as an off-ball wing defender. Kock deflects passes and creates fastbreak opportunities, where he shows off his athleticism in the open floor. @RyanKoch04
Jake Karnish
Jake Karnish
Doing at least some of everything as a junior, Karnish was the driving force behind Fleetwood’s division 3 title and BCIAA quarterfinals appearance. Jake was Fleetwood’s leading rebounder in addition to leading scorer, despite not having a size advantage. The all-conference selection scores by slashing to the basket and getting to the free throw line consistently. @JakeKarnish
Grey came on in a big way last season, finishing the year as a starter and all-division 1. The high academic prospect gets it done as a point of attack defender, disrupting handlers and forcing turnovers. But it’s the jumper that sets him apart. In addition to the C&S stuff, Myles can knock down the three ball off step-backs and side-steps. He set a school record in January with 10 treys vs Twin Valley. @Grey_Myles
He didn’t make all-conference or division last season and wasn’t even a starter, yet Aris primed for a breakout senior campaign. Aris is rapidly developing into a 3 & D wing having run with Team Final Red. He has the lateral quickness and long arms to guard multiple positions on the perimeter. AR’s attacking off the catch and using his length to finish will be more effective as the jumper continues its upward trajectory. @Aris_Rodzzz
Cameron Jones
Cameron Jones
Jones was also all-division 1 a season ago. Committing soon to play DB in college, Cam is a high feel, two-way PG for the Bulldogs. He has the craft to create advantages off the bounce and the vision to locate bigs when he gets to the paint. His decision-making is a usually on-point because he plays without being rushed. And on defense, he has perfecting timing to jump passing lanes for steals. @Cam1Jones
