2024: Junior Positional Rankings: PG’s

He changes speeds better then most in the entire AIA and can stop and go on a dime. He slithers passes into a teammates shooting pocket and his pull-up from mid-range is tough to defend. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1297427' first='AJ' last='Thomas'] <strong>Eduprize </strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A pure point guard who is hard to stay in front of. He is always looking to advance pass, threading the needle and sucking in the defense and kicking it to a shooter. He is best downhill but has made strides with his 3-ball. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1150940' first='Rowan' last='McKenzie'] <strong>Boulder Creek</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A physical two-sport star had a set back with an injury and unfortunately missed Section-7. He did lead his HS team to the Final-4 of 6A last year and played well in April's live periods. He shoots it with the deepest range on this top of the line list. He sees the court way better then a year ago and has the strength and speed to hang with anyone in the state. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='992829' first='Gabe' last='Pickens'] <strong>Millennium</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>1 or 1A with Thomas as THE top pure point guard in the class. He is a true bully getting downhill and carving out space with his strong body and scores consistently through contact. He slithers passes for dimes, hits triples and defends his position at a high level. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1077598' first='Isaiah' last='Bronson'] <strong>Gilbert </strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>One of the best natural scoring lead guards in the class is finding that happy medium of scorer and facilitator. He has the best pull-up from mid-range along with Phipps on the list and is a good catch shooter. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1220362' first='Donovan' last='Beard'] <strong>Dobson</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A long lead guard who has a knack for scoring the ball. He has good quickness with a burst and length. He shoots it off the catch or move and rattles perimeter jumpers off in bunches. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1178304' first='Isaiah' last='Hill'] <strong>Pueblo</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A fast and shifty scoring lead guard is Tucson's finest in the junior class. He is a bucket down south from all levels but he will make plays for his teammates when needed be. Driver and shooter from mid to the three. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1168771' first='Nait' last='George'] <strong>Dream City Christian </strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A talented pure point guard with a tight handle and skill. He unfortunately got injured recently and missed the live periods but look for him to rebound for a big high school season. He shoots it well from the three and he can dissect defenses. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1135901' first='Aiden' last='Dunne'] <strong>Paradise Honors</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A scoring lead guard has a big opening in his team to score the ball this year with a couple transferring out. He should get plenty of quality shots and lead them in scoring. He has great size and can shoot it comfortably from mid to the three point line. He makes smart decisions with the ball and should lead by example with his extremely young team. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
