Pettiford and Massang manned the backcourt for the Hawks last season, and they should be even more fun to watch this season. The former is the top shooter in the country as Pettiford is in range once he crosses half court and can shoot either off the catch or bounce. He also has an elite handle and can finish in a variety of ways around the basket. Massang is a tough on-ball defender, who moves well without the ball in his hands and can finish around the basket. Pettiford and Massang helped lead Hudson Catholic to a 23-win season and a Hudson County Tournament championship and they have the chance to repeat in 2022-23.

The Ironmen should be one of the top teams in Bergen County this season with Harper and Brown manning the backcourt spots. The 6’5 lefty uses his handle effectively as Harper is able to get to his spot on the floor and finish through contact around the basket. He can knock down open jumpers from behind the arc and works hard on the defensive end. Brown has a good handle, which he uses to get into the lane and make plays. Harper and Brown will be fun to watch for Don Bosco Prep in 2022-23 as the Ironmen look to get back to the Non-Public A North title game.

. The former knows how to finish around the basket and can put the ball on the floor to get to the basket. Brisco uses his body to get position down low on the offensive end and influences shots on the defensive end with his combination of length and athleticism. Both players are tough to box out on both ends of the floor and set good screens in the half court. Watson and Brisco will play serious minutes down low for the Lions as they look to take home their fifth straight sectional title.

Copeland and Benjamin are a forward duo to watch in the Garden State as they both play well off each other. The former has a strong frame, which he uses to get position down low and has a nice touch around the basket. Copeland can pass out of double teams and is tough to box out on both ends of the floor. Benjamin has a motor that doesn’t stop on either end of the floor and knows how to finish around the basket. Copeland and Benjamin are tough forward prospects who should have big 2022-23 seasons for the Crusaders.

The Jaguars will be one of the top teams in Essex County this season as Price and Akande should have strong junior campaigns. The latter is one of the biggest stock risers in the class as Akande attacks the basket with a purpose and does not mind contact. He moves well without the ball in his hands and can defend multiple positions on the floor. Price does not mind using his body to get position down low and is tough to box out at both ends. Akande and Price will be ones to watch this season with their ability to finish and play through contact.
