2023 PF Jayden Hastings transfers to IMG Academy

On Tuesday afternoon, IMG Academy landed 4-star center [player_tooltip player_id='709236' first='Jayden' last='Hastings'] from Orlando Christian Prep. Hastings, a 6-9 225-pound averaged 5.4 points and 6.2 rebounds per game last season helping the Warriors win their third consecutive state championship.   The news was first reported by The Hoop Vibe's Jake Perper.   IMG Academy has already landed 6-6 sophomore forward [player_tooltip player_id='1301713' first='Jamier' last='Jones'] from Sarasota Riverview, as well as recent Maryland commit [player_tooltip player_id='999638' first='Jamie' last='Kaiser'] from Virginia this offseason.   Hastings has a total of nine division-one offers from Boston College, Clemson, Florida, Georgia Tech, Miami, SMU, St. John's, USC and USF throughout his recruitment process.   In our Prep Hoops rankings, Hastings is the 14th ranked player in the state and the 3rd ranked power forward for the upcoming senior class.   Earlier this month, Hastings was named one of the Top 40 finalists to compete at the Pangos All-American Camp in Long Beach, California that will take place on August 27 and 28.   During the Grassroots season, Hastings played for Florida Rebels where he was playing alongside Duke commit [player_tooltip player_id='709255' first='Sean' last='Stewart'] (Montverde Academy), Georgetown commit [player_tooltip player_id='709215' first='Marvel' last='Allen'] (Montverde Academy) and St. Petersburg shooting guard [player_tooltip player_id='709233' first='Tristan' last='Gross'].   Hastings has not commented on when a commitment date will take place.
