Continue ReadingSucceeding at your position is one of the keys to basketball. Players that can score and defend routinely will often have their team in the win column. We are lucky to have many of the best prospects in the Class of 2025 right here in South Florida. For this piece, I will exclude players inside the top 10.
Here are some elite two-way prospects in the region.
Dante Allen Dante Allen 6'5" | SF Riviera Prep | 2025 State #57 Nation FL – Riviera Prep/Nightrydas Elite
Allen is a tough prospect to contain in the open floor. At 6-foot-5, he has more than enough athleticism and handle to play ahead of his defender in transition. More so, his aggressive nature makes him a routine visitor at the rim. Allen’s growing frame will also make him a tougher finisher at the basket moving forward. More so, his added muscle should make him more effective as a rebounder.
Gustavo Guimaraes Gustavo Guimaraes 6'10" | C Westminster Academy | 2025 State FL – Westminster Academy
Athleticism and touch are two improvements I believe you will see from Gustavo Guimaraes Gustavo Guimaraes 6'10" | C Westminster Academy | 2025 State FL next season. The nearly 6-foot-10 center has been running drills near and away from the basket to improve his mobility. Guimaraes’ length alone will give him a distinct advantage around the paint. I think his touch around the rim and ability to score 15-feet out will routinely be in his arsenal.
Anthony Knowles Anthony Knowles 5'10" | CG Mater Lakes | 2025 State #93 Nation FL – Mater Lakes/SOH Elite
Knowles’ talent and success of Mater Lakes Academy/SOH Elite on the circuit earns him a spot on this list. Knowles helped MLA go 29-2 in the month of June, with one of those losses coming to Columbus by 10. His ability to run an offense through his vision and overall passing ability are two strong suits. Knowles will consistently attack the rim and is only improving his overall shot. I think you will his offensive game shine by the fall.
Benny Fragela Benny Fragela 5'11" | SG Columbus | 2025 State FL – Columbus
Fragela is instant offense when it comes to knocking down a shot. The 6-foot-2 shooting guard hit 80 3-pointers through his quick release with the Explorers. Fragela can shoot off the dribble and score in bunches. I think his confidence level is high enough where he will pull-up from anywhere beyond the arc. Watch out for his handle and ability to attack the rim as well.
