Anthony Haith (M14 17U)
There is a lot to like with this Marmion 6’4” small forward. It starts out with his size for position and ability to drain feathery jumpers. Easy elevation that he knocks them in with ease. Also like his passing flair. Feel for finding his teammates in the open floor and pushes well off defensive rebounds.
Bryce Coleman (IBA Illinois Stars 17U)
Coleman is a physically built small forward that capped off a productive summer with the Stars in Chicago. The rising senior is at his best when attacking on straight line takes using his strength and downhill speed to score at the cup. Rebounds well for his position and has become a nice all-around player that should be getting more looks at the D1 level.
Jaloni Johnson (Flee Club 17U)
Johnson is a high octane scoring guard from Proviso East that is wired to put it in the hoop. Wiry shooting guard with plus athleticism and deep range on his shot. Bit of a volume scorer that needs to improve his shot selection, but there is no doubting his ability to score in bunches from all three levels including with athleticism around the rim.
Katrell Weekley (Illinois Jaguars 17U)
This Michelle Clark 6’2” two guard put his name on our radar with a strong showing for the Jaguars. What we liked was his defense and how he consistently got stops and often steals turning them into points. Mixed in some drives and 15 foot jumpers.
Adam Labuda (Illinois T-Wolves 17U)
Sleeper guard in the 2023 class that will find a nice home at the small college level. More of a smaller two guard that can really shoot it on spot ups and crisp mid-range shots. Good defender as well.
Connor May (Breakaway 16U)
May is a 6’6” forward that could end up as a face up four depending on how much he grows. His shooting was spectacular in the two games that we caught! What a spectacular spot up marksmen that drained threes in bunches. Also created on his own to get his shot off along with being able to put it on the deck some including floaters. Overall skilled forward that is primed to make a big jump in the rankings.
Talen Pearson (Breakaway 16U)
Pearson is a longer, taller, and more athletic version of his older brother who we were fans of a few years back. Lanky frame with projectability. He finishes well around the hoop and is a plus defender. Capable shooter with the chance to continue to get better.
Jake Fiegen (Full Package 17U)
Best shooter in state! PERIOD! The New Trier two guard is an elite shooter off the catch that can also run into them pulling up. His shooting prowess has been known for a long time, but there is more to that in his game. Tough kid that is sneaky athletic and a quality wing defender that tries really hard on that end. Mid-majors and low-majors are CRAZY for not going on this guard if they need a shooter!
Jaden Clark (Vikings United 16U)
Rangy 6’5” Bloom small forward that can score from multiple levels. Slick ball handler that can convert with athleticism and is a plus defender. Contested shots on the perimeter including blocking one.
Carson Brownfield (Vikings United 16U)
Brownfield was a force getting downhill to the rim! The St. Rita 6’3” shooting guard is a strong bodied wing that loves to attack downhill and convert at the cup. Got to the rim where his body control and how well he maneuvered the ball at the rim was evident.
Kyle Olagbegi (Illinois T-Wolves 17U)
Olagbegi has a lot the same qualities to his game as Brownfield. The wing from Illinois T-Wolves has nice size at about 6’5” with a strong upper body and super long arms. Excellent downhill driver that maneuvers the ball in the air around defenders for scores. Such a big time finisher in transition running the floor. Plays above the rim throwing down lob dunks. Switchable defender.
Daniel Walker (Brook Town Force 17U)
Walker is an unsigned senior from Bolingbrook that put on a show for Brook Town Force as he took over scoring from all three levels. Two guard is a prospect that could definitely help out a small college or JUCO.
Xavier Sulaiman (Hoops 4 Health 17U)
Oak Lawn shooting guard closed out a strong summer by doing what he does best which is get buckets! Explosive wing scorer that loves to get out in transition where he throws down monster slams. Straight line takes off the bounce and has a solid jumper from two and three.
