Connor Dow Connor Dow 6'6" | SF Broken Arrow | 2023 State #252 Nation OK – 2023 Forward – Broken Arrow
You could see flashes of what Broken Arrow 2023 forward Connor Dow Connor Dow 6'6" | SF Broken Arrow | 2023 State #252 Nation OK could end up being early on in his junior season. A legitimate forward who could beat opponents on the inside and outside. Then Dow played for Team Griffin on the EYBL circuit and has absolutely crushed it throughout the spring and summer. He saw great competition, he competed and responded incredibly well to it. Following a breakout spring, Dow rejoined his Broken Arrow team and dominated at the Oklahoma State team camp. Dow has seen his recruitment skyrocket and he’s earned an ORU offer earlier this summer and that should be just the beginning for this forward with lights out shooting. Dow jumped into the top five in the recent 2023 ranking update. And with Anthony Allen graduating, the Tigers are going to need a new star to step up and Dow has shown this offseason he can be that guy.
DJ Dill DJ Dill 6'2" | CG Caddo | 2024 State OK – 2024 Guard – Caddo
I first got a chance to see 2024 guard DJ Dill DJ Dill 6'2" | CG Caddo | 2024 State OK during the state tournament in March as he took the Bruins to the Big House. I was impressed with the fact that he had already reached 1,000 career points as a sophomore and he added to it at state. And there was no doubt that he was one of the best players on the floor that weekend, but I was curious how Dill would look against other competition outside of the state tournament. Dill has been playing several events on the Prep Hoops Circuit with H&H Elite’s 16U squad and everything that impressed us in OKC back in March has completely translated against any and all competition. Dill is the real deal at the guard position. He can attack and he slices thru defenders like it’s nothing. His shooting is getting better and better and his range is also extending. He’s a small town prospect that has emerged looking like a top ten guy in the state’s 2024 class.
Jamouri McCalister Jamouri McCalister 6'2" | SG Del City | 2023 State OK – 2023 Guard – Del City
One 2023 prospect that we’ve had the opportunity to cover quite a bit this offseason is Del City guard Jamouri McCalister Jamouri McCalister 6'2" | SG Del City | 2023 State OK . While playing for Next Level Basketball on the Prep Hoops Circuit, McAlister has really been one of the top Oklahoma guards from the start in Circuit events. From the first events back in April and continuing over the last few months, McAlister has absolutely lit teams up. In addition to doing it on the PH Circuit, he’s also doing it in other events as well. It seems like every time we see a box score, McAlister’s name is at the top of the list and he’s making 20 and 30 point outings seem completely normal. In the big picture, Del City is absolutely loaded coming into this next season with their 2023 class all returning. They have legitimate stars in that class like Brandon Garrison Brandon Garrison 6'8" | C Evans | 2023 State #33 Nation OK and Terry McMorris Terry McMorris 6'5" | SF Douglass | 2023 State OK but they also have players on the rise like McAlister within their backcourt.
Jordan England Jordan England 6'2" | CG Carl Albert | 2023 State OK – 2023 Guard – Carl Albert
Staying in the Mid-Del area with another 2023 guard that we’ve benefitted from seeing multiple times on the PH Circuit is Carl Albert guard Jordan England Jordan England 6'2" | CG Carl Albert | 2023 State OK . He was one our favorite two-way guards to watch during Circuit events. It seemed like he was always standing out for the Oklahoma Impact and seemed to be one of the top players every weekend. Offensively, there isn’t much to pick apart when it comes to his game. England is incredibly efficient with the basketball and rarely makes a bad decision. He shoots when he’s open, gives it up when he should and makes plays when that’s what’s required. England’s ability to stay calm under pressure, especially while driving to the basket is such an underrated quality at this level. He never seems flustered and it doesn’t seem like much of anything can get to him. He’s a borderline top ten prospect in a 2023 class that is pretty strong at the top.
TO Barrett TO Barrett 6'4" | SG Link Academy | 2024 #138 Nation MO – 2024 Guard – Edmond North
Edmond North 2024 guard TO Barrett TO Barrett 6'4" | SG Link Academy | 2024 #138 Nation MO is in a similar boat as Connor Dow Connor Dow 6'6" | SF Broken Arrow | 2023 State #252 Nation OK from Broken Arrow. Barrett was already considered one of the best prospects in the state’s 2024 class but after the offseason he’s had, I think it’s safe to say that he’s looking more like a top five prospect every day. Barrett has been outstanding this offseason and is so good at getting others involved. And he’s on the right team to do so. Edmond North is absolutely loaded and having a player like Barrett that is just as dangerous when he’s being a playmaker or when he’s creating for others makes them even scarier going into this winter. Barrett’s shooting has improved dramatically over the last few months as well and combine that with the other skills and you’re looking at a 2024 guard that is currently right outside of the top five in the state but he might not be when the next update rolls around.
