Nick Allen (Bradley Bourbonnais)
This was our first look at Allen and we came away with a lot of positives from the 6’9” center. Skilled lefty that had super advanced footwork and low post moves. Put combination moves and up and unders together for buckets. Played above the rim catching a lob on an out of bounds pass. Showed a good free throw shooting stroke. Sound passer and rebounded very well in his area. Potential as a rim protector. One of the better big men we have seen early on.
Jack Duffer (Rolling Meadows)
Duffer left an impression on us over the weekend. With Christie out it opened more opportunity for the Rolling Meadows lefty point guard who drained threes in bunches in every single game we saw off the catch.
Bradley Biedke (Conant)
In that exact same game this 6’6” four man put his name on the map. He was most effective as a face up player putting it on the deck for slashes and rebounded tremendously well. Long arms and could grow a few more inches.
Shaunasseey Hatchett (Springfield Lanphier)
Hatchett put his name on the map as a 6’3” shooting guard with long arms. Gets in passing lanes on the defensive end and made sound decisions distributing on the other. Can hit an open shot every now and then. Versatile overall player.
Makai Kvamme (DePaul Prep)
This 5’11” point guard has long arms and a good feel at the point. Should find a role as a lead guard that can set up an array of young prospects for the Rams.
Chris Bush (Champaign Central)
The 6’5” power forward from Champaign Central has a nice frame and good strength. He displayed some skill shooting it on a corner three and pull up jumper. Interesting central Illinois prospect to track.
Braden Freeman (Moline)
The younger brother of Iowa commit Owen, Braden Freeman is a prospect to track in his own right. The 6’5” wing has size and projectability. Played limited minutes, but is worth monitoring with his physical tools.
Dalton Scantlebury (Lane Tech)
The 6’6” power forward is a good rebounder with a projectable body. He displayed a hook shot and overall feel in the paint for a young big man.
Aidan Bardie (Stevenson)
Bardie is a lefty guard that is a crafty scorer that sneakily got to the rim for several layups. Finished well through contact and is going to be a rock solid guard for Stevenson the next three years.
