Each of these young men will play important roles this season and opponents cannot have their hand down, or it will be man down!
Amir Martin
Amir Martin
https://twitter.com/AmirxMartinrnMartin is a talented scorer of the basketball and is only a sophomore this year. He has a full arsenal at his disposal. He can create his own shot, get to the rim and he does an excellent job making smart cuts to the basket. Martin’s strongest asset is the way he shoots the ball. He has a terrific mid-range game but his ability to rise and knockdown the three could be the key for the Bears run this season. Omaha Bryan has terrific length, good leadership and a solid ball handler. Martin could shine with his ability to shoot the ball and with his movement without the ball, spotting up with passes out of the post. Martin’s stock will skyrocket this season.

Sam Souerdyke

A high IQ basketball player, Souerdyke averaged over 21 points per game his freshman year. He has above average floor vision and his ability to shoot immediately draw defenders, allowing Souerdyke to make the right pass for his teammates. Souerdyke has a smooth stroke that creates consistency from distance. He cannot be lost on the floor or given space, or he will make opponents pay. Souerdyke and the Titans, will have Class C on notice this year and his name will hit college scouting lists, without a doubt.

Ethan Yungtum

Yungtum is a threat at both ends of the floor. His length allows him to be formidable on the boards, while his anticipation and hand speed can create turnovers. His rebounding can allow for some quick putbacks but his ability to shoot the ball from beyond the arc and stretch his position is an asset to his team. His high release makes it tough to challenge his shot. Pair that will his ability to catch and shoot, or just pull up coming down the court and Yungtum can score in bunches. Yungtum should emerge as a top player for the Antlers this year and create a buzz.

Another intelligent basketball player, Piatkowski has a little of an untapped potential. He is a solid all-around player who make headsy plays and does all the little things to help his team. Paitkowski has good length, can finish around the rim and can be a knockdown shooter from 15 feet and out. He has a high, quick release that have opponents anxious to challenge when defending him. Piatkowski does an excellent job using shot fakes and getting opponents in the air, creating a better shot attempt. The Mustangs have reloaded with talent this year and Piatkowski will have an important role, which will get him the solid college looks he deserves.

Jaxon Claussen
Jaxon Claussen
Claussen is an athlete. He has a strong motor, is a fiesty defender and knack for the ball. Claussen creates offense for himself with his hustle. He finds the ball whether is a rebound, a steal or just getting into an open space for a shot attempt. His confidence stands out on the court as he shoots with consistency from deep but can also be deadly in the mid-range off the dribble. Claussen is a solid two sport athlete and his athleticism alone, should leave colleges eager to bring him on campus.

Another good athlete, Bouwman excels in the open court and can pull up to knockdown shots from anywhere on the court. Bouwman has a rhythm to his shot and once he finds it, he can put up points in a hurry. His ability to shoot on the run or off screens, leaves opponents scrambling, and he is a sly defender with quick hands. The Pioneers lost a couple strong players to graduation and Bouwman has a chance to be a top offensive threat for the team. Bouwman’s star could really start to shine in 2023.
