I was at the event throughout the weekend and focused on the 15U Division. Here’s a look at some of the top wing players that I saw.
1. Jamar Andrews – Long Beach Jordan 2025/LA Elite 15U Select
Andrews is a wing who can handle the ball and plays well in transition. He looks to push the tempo each time down court and can go coast to coast and finish. He’s able to draw fouls at the rim and get himself to the free-throw line. Good baseline drives as well. An athletic player who crashes the offensive glass and uses his length to secure rebounds. Able to shoot the little runner/floater in the lane.
2. Sir Livingston – Murrieta Mesa 2025/IE Fire Select 2025
Livingston is kind of a tweener type player who can play either guard or forward depending on the matchup. I’ve seen him play before and he has a knack for scoring. He has nice step through moves in the paint and he can attack off the dribble. Handles the ball up court. He’s a willing passer. Boxes out well and rebounds despite not being that tall. Good defender on ball who stays low and slides his feet.
3. EJ Spillman – Pacifica Christian 2025/LA Elite 15U Premier
Spillman was actually playing some small ball center in the game I saw but he is a natural wing. He’s strong though and has good body control at the rim. He faces up in the high post and can make quick moves off the dribble to get into the paint. Nice step through moves to finish around the defense. He can pull-up and shoot the jumper off the dribble against slower defenders. Able to shoot it well to from three-point range.
4. Brandon Stapleton Brandon Stapleton 6'4" | CG Chandler | 2026 State AZ – Chandler 2025/AZ Gremlins 2025-2
Stapleton has guard skills but looks like he might be suited as a small forward in high school. He runs the floor well and can handle the ball on the break. Finishes strong at the rim. He swoops in for defensive rebounds and throws quick outlet passes to his guards. Defensively is where he stood out to me too. He can guard the perimeter well and he gets his hands in the passing lanes. Good help defense too at the rim using his length to challenge shots.
