Aidan Chislom Aidan Chislom 6'5" | SF McFarland | 2023 State WI — F — Wisconsin Academy — 17U
Chislom is a prospect that is more than willing to take care of all the dirty work. He is a tremendous rebounder, plays great defense, and sets tough screens. The forward also proved to be an effective ball handler. Even if he isn’t scoring the ball, Chislom is still making a major positive impact for his squad.
Kairee Gadson Kairee Gadson 6'2" | PG Rochester Mayo | 2023 MN — G — Minnesota Lighting — 17U
Elite slashers have become a hot commodity at the college level. A prospect’s ability to drive to the rim and get buckets can be a real difference-maker. On Friday night, Gadson was an elite slasher. He was constantly attacking and putting pressure on the opposing defense. He has good positional size and a strong build, which allows him to finish through contact in the paint.
AJ Uttech — G — Wisconsin Academy — 17U
Uttech is so much fun to watch. The guard is a high-level competitor who gives it his all on both ends of the court. On offense he is a dynamic scorer who can score from just about anywhere. He has a pure stroke from deep and always goes up strong at the rim. On defense, he is able to use his athletic ability to block shots and his strength to body-up whoever he is matched up against.
Levi Birkholz Levi Birkholz 5'2" | SG Lakeside Luthersn | 2023 State #290 Nation WI — CG — Wisconsin Crusaders — 17U
Birkholz has been a mainstay on the Prep Hoops Circuit for quite some time now. On Friday, the combo guard was at his best. I thought that the Wisconsin Crusaders prospect did a really nice job of passing to open teammates. On multiple occasions, the CG made the unselfish play, giving up his own shot for a great shot for one of his teammates. Look for Birkholz to continue to make some noise this weekend.
Alex Sherwood Alex Sherwood 6'4" | SF Xavier | 2023 State WI — SF — Wisconsin Crusaders — 17U
I have just been so impressed with Sherwood this AAU season. The small forward has solidified himself as an elite prospect in Wisconsin’s 2023 class. He has really developed into an unstoppable scorer. On Friday night, Sherwood knocked down outside shots with ease. He has such a pure stroke from deep. He also took advantage of favorable matchups in the post, as he was able to show off some great post moves.
Orlando James — PG — The Work Foundation — 17U
His team wasn’t able to walk away with the victory, but James should still hold his head high. On Friday night, the point guard was very impressive, and his play was a major reason why his squad was able to keep the game close. James is a very speedy and shifty guard who can knock in outside shots. Even though he is undersized on defense, I like the effort that he played with.
