To my surprise, Cato was not solely a low post defender. He was in fact influential for halfcourt press situations, where his length and fluid foot speed allowed him to disrupt ballhandlers. Within the pick and roll, Cato was a brick wall on screens, sending multiple defenders to the floor from his physical frame alone. When committed, Cato is all too big to disrupt on either end of glass, most notably following up his rebounds with right handed put backs.

[player_tooltip player_id="1139977" first="Treyton" last="Fletcher"] - [program_tooltip program_id='2078362' first='Colorado' last='Chaos'] - Littleton - 2024

Fletcher was essential to the Chaos success last weekend thanks to his all around impact at 6'5. Fletcher's offensive game is conducive to a jack of all trades, given his passing vision, rebounding intensity, and shooting touch. Off of put backs, Fletcher was automatic with high arcing finishes around the rim or making the extra pass to the perimeter. Already a dependable ball handler, Fletcher used his strength to get downhill and further control the team's pace.

[player_tooltip player_id='1755791' first='John' last='Clark'] - TJ Ford Basketball - Klein Cane - 2025

Clark has garnered recognition from this tournament due to his physicality and budding shooting touch. At 6'7, the forward proved to be a low post hub, capable making quick passing reads to cutters or shooters. Against nearly every matchup, he had little trouble getting a post hook or high release finish over the defense. Given his frame, it was only expected Clark would be a dominant presence on the glass, especially the defensive end.

[player_tooltip player_id="1293550" first="Logan" last="Knol"] - Oklahoma Flight - Edmond North - 2025

Knol was one of my favorite players from the tournament due to his ability to make a major impact without the ball. At 6'5, Knol was incredibly active off the ball as a cutter and rebounder. The offensive glass was an area the wing got quite a few hustle play buckets, in part from his clear size advantage. Slashing is another key with Knol, as he is advantageous in the passing lanes and makes the nonverbal communication easy for his teammates to seek out the pass. The lefty brings a different dynamic as a driver given his mirrored habits as a driver and ballhandler, even though he is a complementary wing right now. While Knol did hit a few threes off the catch, continuing to speed up the form will aid him as a versatile complementary wing.

Michael Robinson - Magnolia Elite - Pearl - 2024

Although a bit undersized for an elite rebounder, Robinson was often the second best prospect for a very physical Magnolia team. Although only 6'3, Robinson was a versatile defensive wing who was dominant guarding 1 through 3. Versus Next Level Elite, Robinson recorded nine rebounds in the first half, six of which were on the offensive end. What stood out with his boards was the constant effort level and overpowering physicality from his low center of gravity. Robinson's jumper has a lot of promise off the catch, as his perimeter development should have a major impact on his scoring gravity.
