The Hustle Region Circuit consists of AAU Programs from California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Utah, Montana, Idaho, Colorado, and New Mexico. The circuit features 10 stops including the Hustle Region Final in Irvine July 15th – 17th. For stop number 8 the circuit returns to Phoenix with the Brawl For The Ball. The event featured some quality, big men. In this article, we take a look at some of the top Bigs from the event.
Zane Gaul Zane Gaul 6'10" | C Prescott | 2025 State AZ 6’10 C D1 New Mexico 2025 (featured image) – Gaul has really improved from his initial Circuit appearance. I have noticed that so much of his production is tied to his patience. I thought this weekend he played with Patience. Gaul scored around the rim on putbacks and played with good energy and effort. He was often times the biggest player on the floor, however, he took advantage of that fact by rebounding at a high level.
Brian Kalb Brian Kalb 6'8" | PF St Pius | 2023 State NM 6’7 PF D1 New Mexico 2023 – This week, Kalb looked like one of the better small ball bigs at the event. He showed that he was able to stretch the floor, knocking down several catch and shoot threes in the game against AZ Unity EYBL. Kalb was a good show and go player, that was effective facing up and driving. The 6’7 4 man looked like a wing, putting the ball on the deck, slashing and scoring at the rim.
Noah Smyth 6’2 PF Colorado Hoops Academy 2027 – Smyth is a good-looking young prospect that was effective playing against 15U competition. Despite his age, he played with good aggression, rebounding and scoring the ball around the rim. Smyth is an intriguing inside-outside prospect who flashed some good perimeter ball skills to go with a solid interior game.
Maper Maker 6’10 C AZ Unity EYBL 2024 – This was my first good look at Maker this season, and I like a lot of the things he did. His best skill was his rim protection, and he played with decent energy, getting a couple of chase-down blocks in one of the games I saw. Offensively the 6’10 big showed decent hands, catching and finishing around the rim.
Vitorio Dante Vitorio Dante 6'6" | PF Castle View | 2024 State CO 6’3 PF Colorado Premiere 2024 – To be honest I only saw a little of Dante, yet every time I saw him he was grabbing a board. The 6’3 forward was one of the top in traffic rebounders I’ve seen all circuit season. He had the unique ability to go over the top of opponents without fouling. Dante played with good energy, and used his offensive rebounding ability to score off putbacks.
Lukas Klosterman 6’5 PF Prospect Kids 2025 – One look at Klosterman and it’s easy to see why he’s a Prospect. He has a strong frame and played with good physicality. He also blended in a little skill, showing the ability to shoot the ball at a high clip. Klosterman buried multiple threes in the two games I watched, showing the ability to space the floor, get his feet set and get off an accurate outside shot.
