Maxey was in attack mode in the final as he was able to get to the basket and finish through contact around the rim. Joe-Samuel provided solid defense on the perimeter and fought for rebounds on both ends of the floor. Maxey and Joe-Samuel provided Team Final with the guard play they needed on Friday to take home the championship.

Kabe Goss, 5’6 PG Trenton Catholic (Jersey Force) 2024

Goss had a stellar day for the Jersey Force 16U team as he was instrumental in their title run. He used his lightning quickness to blow by his defender as opponents struggled to contain him off the bounce. Goss played with poise as he was rarely sped up and hit critical shots down the stretch in the championship game. He got his teammates involved in the half court and moved his feet nicely on the defensive end. Goss is a speedy floor general who makes plays with the ball in his hands whenever he gets into the paint.

[player_tooltip player_id="992512" first="Seck" last="Zongo"], 6’7 F Patrick School (Kips Bay) 2023

Zongo had a big day for Kips Bay as he helped them take home the 17U HGSL 3 title. The 6’7 forward was at his best in transition as he used his combination of speed and athleticism to get to the rim and finish. Zongo attacked the basket with a purpose as he routinely drew contact in the paint and showed a nice touch around the basket. He fought for rebounds on both ends of the floor and made plays on the defensive end. Zongo is an athletic forward prospect who knows how to finish strong around the rim.

Jacob Beccles, 6’4 G Lawrenceville (East Coast Cyclones) 2023

Beccles stepped up in a big way for the East Coast Cyclones as they needed his production on Friday to win the 17U HGSL 2 title. The 6’4 guard used his handle to get to the basket and finished nicely around the rim. Beccles did not mind drawing contact in the paint and played with more confidence as the day went on. He moved well without the ball in his hands and used his athleticism to make an impact on the defensive end. Molen is a lanky guard prospect who knows how to finish around the basket.

William Mutts, 6’4 SG Salesnium (Penn Warriors) 2023

Mutts had a strong day on Friday as the Penn Warriors took home the 17U HGSL 1 title. The 6’4 guard has a strong frame, which he used to muscle layups through contact in the paint. Mutts used his handle to get by his defender and made good decisions with the ball in his hands. He scrapped for rebounds on both ends of the floor and moved his feet on the defensive end. Mutts is a tough guard prospect who does what it takes to help his team win games.
