How are some players we learned about yesterday at the Breakdown Shot Clock Classic? Have a look!

Riley Blaylark of DeLaSallle (2023 guard). The Islanders played with a lot of energy which allowed them to stay with Wayzata throughout the game. Riley was a key part of that defensive energy that turned the Trojans over and pushed the ball. And late in the game he scored on six of his last eight attempts putting up 14 in support of Nasir.

Temison Denedo of Osseo (2024 point guard). Temison was a player that caught my eye. He handled the point guard spot and did a great job on the ball leading the defense. Missing a few key guys in the backcourt the Orioles still stayed with a guard oriented Tonka team with Denedo leading a big group of guards that played pretty well.

Isaiah Habte of Wayzata (2023 forward). Isaiah has caught the eye a couple times this month. He’s about 6’6 moves reasonably well, looks comfortable playing away from the cup and has the size on defense to get his body into places around the basket that he needs to. Rebounded solid with six rebounds and he scored four times for the Trojans who beat DeLaSalle. Played his role well.

Avery MacDonald of Rockford (2024 guard). Avery looks like he will be the next Rockford leader. With [player_tooltip player_id="1256138" first="Henry" last="Skinner"] out, much will fall on the shoulders of Avery and he seems to have the confidence and ability to be a team leader. It might take some time as he is a junior to be and he will be asked to do a lot quicker than expected but the potential to be a really good high school player is there. Scored 22 points against Concordia Academy.

Jack Misgren of White Bear Lake (2023 guard). What I didn’t know was that Jack had the handles, the change of direction, and the comfort to quickly move out of each of those moves. He did a lot of handling for WBL today and I thought he played the role well. He surely played it well enough to get the win. Second leading scorer for his team but I thought his decision making and clutch plays late were the biggest part of what he did.

Benjamin Raymond of Concorida Academy (2023 wing). Raymond is an interesting player on a Concordia Academy team that will be very good. [player_tooltip player_id="962239" first="AJ" last="Greene"] and Lorenzo Levy have the pop, we know that. This team has young size and [player_tooltip player_id="1171930" first="Luc" last="Swanson"] has the touch. Raymond looks like he will be the tough, vocal, energetic wing that can score inside and out. We saw him board (10 of em), we saw him dunk (scored most of his points inside), and we saw Raymond score a lot in the first half when his team needed points with the guards off. A 22 point, 10 rebound double-double.

Griffin Thom of Coon Rapids (2023 forward). Coon Rapids has a lot of players that make up a good team piece and Thom is one that stood out. Always seemed to be a player in motion. Always seemed to be a guy that was in position to make a play. Put together a 15 point game.

[player_tooltip player_id="1288748" first="Tyler" last="Wagner"] of Totino-Grace (2025 wing). With [player_tooltip player_id="962198" first="Taison" last="Chatman"] at Top 100 Camp there were open opportunities for players to be a part of the offense and Tyler was the player that took advantage the most. He knocked out four triples, hit all his foul shots and scored 18 points giving the Eagles a third option in their win over South. I also thought he made some veteran plays in key situations such as a help over on defense or his fight over on a screen to take away a lane, and some key boards as well. Good showing.
