The University of Oregon continued its team camp on Saturday and we had the opportunity to take in games deep in the woods at Matthew Knight Arena. Here’s a look at some of the top performers from the morning session.

[player_tooltip player_id="1496237" first="Ty" last="Dahlin"] SG 6’2" Crater 2024

Dahlin looks like he is ready to take the lead role with the Comets this season. He has good length on his 6’2" frame and shoots the ball really well. It will be interesting to see how coach Brian Broaddus implements the dynamic Dahlin as Crater continues the transition into a new era of Comet basketball. Dahlin is another sleeper in the class of 2024.

[player_tooltip player_id="1270717" first="Yanni" last="Fassillis"] (2023 Union)

Union star Fassillis certainly played like a Titan on Saturday and justified his all-state selection this past season. He is very patient when the ball is in his hands and has a firm grasp on varying his pace of play. His body is strong and he uses contact near the rim to create space against bigger defenders. His body control and physicality also result in a constant supply of And 1’s. He showed great chemistry with [player_tooltip player_id="1493980" first="Evan" last="Manville"]. Look out for this duo this season as Blake Conley shoots for a 4A Washington state title.

[player_tooltip player_id="1111365" first="Eddie" last="Freauff"] (2024 Crook County)

Freauff was dynamic on the main court at Matthew Knight Arena. He has a big strong body and moves with explosion toward the rim. He showed a smooth handle and was able to finish with elevation through traffic. His best play of the morning was a drive and kick for an open corner three. I would keep at eye on Freauff as he could be one of the sleepers in the the class of 2024.

[player_tooltip player_id="1337025" first="Drew" last="Hall"] (2025 South Medford)

Hall looks to be one of the top sophomores in southern Oregon. He ran the show for the Panthers. His ball handling is excellent and he showed off an impressive jumper on the main floor at Matthew Knight Arena. He plays under control and knows how to use the jump stop to create shots and passing lanes. His best move was a strong drive to the paint and a floater off of two feet over the defense.
