Lowcountry FCA Camp: 2023 Top Performers

<p>Prep Hoops was running around the North Charleston area all weekend long covering events on the boy's and girl's side. We were able to take in a session of games at the [program_tooltip program_id='2078736' first='Lowcountry' last=''] FCA Camp at the North Charleston Athletic Center. Let's dive into the action right with some of the 2023 Top Performers we saw play today. Quinton is a tough-minded guard who really leaves it all out on the floor with his effort. He was able to touch the paint several times today with his play. Dugdale likes to use his body to fight off defenders to the rack. Quinton does a good job of switching hands at the cup. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1023657" first="Chauncey" last="Capers"] - Cane Bay HS (Summerville) (pictured on front)</strong></p> <p>Capers is a bit of a pest with his play. Chauncey has set of quick hands that make a bit of a nuisance on the defensive end. He will pop off ball screens along with switch gears to race by defenders. Jordyn a left-handed guard score several baskets today in transition. He really sees the floor very well and is always thinking pass first. Justin keeps getting better and better each outing. He really is starting to play with more confidence on the floor. Be aware at all times where he's on the floor for the Landsharks. Will is a shot maker and with [player_tooltip player_id="865299" first="Calvin" last="Davinroy"] on the shelf for a while - he will be relied on even more this season for Head Coach Quinton Hollis. He really shoots the ball with a lot of confidence.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1107730" first="Makhi" last="Rivers"] - Oceanside Collegiate (Mount Pleasant)</strong></p> <p>Rivers runs the show for the Landsharks out on top. Makhi can touch the paint or penetrate-kick to an open teammate. Matterius overpowered defenders to the rack at times. He does a good job of using his body to fight off defenders. Bell has a quick set of hands that makes him a pesky defender at times. </p>
