The 20th annual Indiana Basketball Coaches Association Top 100 Underclass Showcase is this Saturday, June 18th and will yet again be one of the top events in the whole month of June. The showcase will take place at Brownsburg High School and will also be a live period where Division 1 coaches will be allowed to be there in person to watch. Every year, this event usually sees a few breakout performances that result in seeing a few prospects earn D1 offers. With that said, here is a list of forwards that I feel could potentially have a breakout day. Please note that there will be two sessions with the first starting at 10:30am while the second starts at 2:30pm.

Session 1:

[player_tooltip player_id="1042497" first="Zane" last="Doughty"] - 6’9 PF/C 2023 - Ben Davis: From where Doughty was his freshman year to where he is now is really awesome to see as he has made himself one of the top post players in the state. I go back to last year at the Top 100 at Ben Davis where I really started to notice how much improvement he made in his overall game. Right now he has offers from Siena College Miami (OH) University and a big showing here could land him a few more offers. Nobody’s stock has risen as much as Doughty’s in the 2023 class.

[player_tooltip player_id="868242" first="Anthony" last="Ball"] - 6’6 PF 2023 - Beech Grove: No question about it, Ball is one of the most dominant players around the post. Has some of the most natural strength, athleticism, explosiveness that you will see out of any forward. The 3A state champ with Beech Grove could be a guy that breaks out the most here.

[player_tooltip player_id="868251" first="Jake" last="Davis"] - 6’6 SF 2023 - Cathedral: When is comes to wings, Davis is arguably the best wing in the 2023 class. Huge frame and can play physical but most importantly makes winning plays. No D1 offers at this time but that could change this weekend once he gets in front of all those coaches.

[player_tooltip player_id="868244" first="Nick" last="Richart"] - 6’9 PF 2023 - Zionsville: In my personal opinion, Richart has the best footwork out of any post player in the 2023 class. So smooth and is an incredible finisher around the rim. Has a had a really good spring with Indiana Elite 2023 which ultimately landed him an offer from Illinois State. This should be the first of many D1 offers that he is going to start adding up.

[player_tooltip player_id="1275779" first="Kanon" last="Catchings"] - 6’6 SF 2024 - Brownsburg: Catchings is a wing that has lightyears of potential and that has been shown all spring with Indy Heat 2024. The talented wing just picked up his first D1 offer from Purdue which is going to start opening the floodgates for more power five offers. Catchings is a guy to keep a close eye on this Saturday.

Session 2:

[player_tooltip player_id="935722" first="Mason" last="Jones"] - 6’7 PF 2023 - Valparaiso: Jones is an aggressive and versatile forward that has had a very good spring with Team GRIII Elite 2023. Overall has some real solid skill on both sides of the floor and is one of the most aggressive rebounders we have in the state. Holds a Purdue Fort Wayne offer and should rack of up some more soon.

[player_tooltip player_id="868239" first="Cooper" last="Farrall"] - 6’6 SF 2023 - Culver Academy: Farrall is another player that can arguably be called the best wing in the class of 2023 due to how consistent he is from behind the arc. This past spring, we saw him put on some tremendous performances where he put some big time scoring numbers. Big opportunity for him to play against the best players from the state this weekend. Already has a ton of college interest across Division I, Division II, and NAIA levels.

[player_tooltip player_id="868254" first="Peyton" last="Bledsoe"] - 6’4 SF 2023 - Loogootee: Bledsoe is one of the more natural scorers in all of southern Indiana. Has fallen off the radar a little bit as of late but lots of people that have seen him play know how talented his scoring the ball. Plays with a ton of confidence and some real stout size to him. He is an under the radar player to watch this weekend.

[player_tooltip player_id="868231" first="Caleb" last="Washington"] - 6’6 PF 2023 - Floyd Central: Washington is a powerhouse of a power forward but also has some smoothness to him. Saw at Run-N-Slam this past spring and he looks to have added some size to his already larger frame. Still a force in the paint and has that all-around skill that we have seen since his high school career started.

[player_tooltip player_id="1297002" first="Chase" last="Konieczny"] - 6’4 SF 2024 - South Bend St. Joseph: Konieczny has been one of the more consistent 2025s all AAU season thus far. Has a very smooth style of play and can really put a ton of points in quick fashion. Might not get a ton of D1 offers but he will get on coaches radar for sure after this weekend.
