As of now, I want to predict which prospects could see an increase in their scoring average. The factors above should give these players a boost.
Carl Cherenfant Carl Cherenfant 6'4" | CG Ft. Lauderdale Calvary Christian | 2023 State #68 Nation FL – Calvary Christian Academy
The Eagles are going to reload after losing four key players to graduation and 2023 Marvel Allen Marvel Allen 6'4" | SG Ft. Lauderdale Calvary Christian | 2023 State #46 Nation FL to Montverde Academy. Calvary Christian Academy will have an influx of young talent next season that includes 2025 Malachi Martis Malachi Martis 6'4" | SF Ft. Lauderdale Calvary Christian | 2025 State FL and 2026 Randy Livingston Jr Randy Livingston Jr 6'2" | CG Newman | 2026 State LA . 2023 Jaylen Curry is also coming in from J.L. Chambers (NC). At the top is four-star guard Carl Cherenfant Carl Cherenfant 6'4" | CG Ft. Lauderdale Calvary Christian | 2023 State #68 Nation FL . The two-time state champion is more than capable leading this team to another big season. The 6-foot-5 guard averaged just under 12 points per game as a junior. Cherenfant is an excellent downhill prospect on his way to the rim. In addition, his length and ability to turn a corner and get to the basket should give him opportunities for buckets. Cherenfant has many D-1 offers and is visiting St. Johns June 14-16.
Christian Reid Christian Reid 6'5" | SF Mater Lakes | 2024 State FL – Mater Lakes Academy
2024 Christian Reid Christian Reid 6'5" | SF Mater Lakes | 2024 State FL has averaged 15.4 points and 16 points per game in his first two high school seasons. The 6-foot-5 guard/forward is a rock psychically and only becoming more athletic. Reid is a very tough matchup in the halfcourt with his size and ability to play above the rim. Anything in open space he is likely to capitalize on. Reid will also find buckets off rebounds due to his frame. He scored 20 or more points in five games as a sophomore.
Guilherme Tesch Guilherme Tesch 6'8" | SF North Broward Prep | 2023 FL – North Broward Prep
2023 Guilherme Tesch Guilherme Tesch 6'8" | SF North Broward Prep | 2023 FL was often times the best offensive player for North Broward Prep, especially in stretches. The 6-foot-8 wing averaged 16 points per game and had six instances of 20 or more points. He is currently increasing his skill at U18 FIBA Americas Championship in Mexico. Tesch is an efficient outside shooter with talent off the dribble. I think his scoring ability is only getting better off the drive. Specifically, Tesch is getting stronger which should enable him to absorb contact near the basket. I think you could also see more scoring productivity with his back to the basket and around 15 feet moving forward. Tesch will be a leader for North Broward Prep with four key seniors graduating.
Dwayne Wimbley Dwayne Wimbley 6'6" | SG Dillard | 2025 State #175 Nation FL Jr. – Dillard
2025 Dwayne Wimbley Dwayne Wimbley 6'6" | SG Dillard | 2025 State #175 Nation FL Jr. has as much talent as anyone in this class. The 6-foot-6 wing averaged just under 16 points per game this past season. Wimbley Jr. already has a strong frame to score, especially off the drive and around the rim. He is also very quick given his frame and displays a strong handle. Wimbley Jr. will get a lot of tough buckets that other prospects might not capitalize on.
Calvin Sirmans Calvin Sirmans 5'8" | PG Lake Worth | 2023 State FL – Lake Worth
2023 Calvin Sirmans Calvin Sirmans 5'8" | PG Lake Worth | 2023 State FL was on the cusp of averaging 20 points per game with just over 17 per night this past season. The 5-foot-7 guard had eight games of 20 or more points for a strong Lake Worth team that won 21 games. The Trojans finished two victories shy of winning the Class 7A state championship. Sirmans is highly athletic and shifty off the dribble. Furthermore, the 5-foot-8 point guard is relentless attacking the basket and will finish with either hand. Sirmans’ willingness to stay aggressive is why he is one of the best players in Palm Beach County. He has plenty of motivation to get back to Lakeland and win a state title.
