The Freedom Classic will be a great opportunity for some of Colorado’s best prospects to play in front of our local D2 and surrounding area D3 schools. Here are some prospects for the local schools to keep an eye out for this upcoming weekend at the 17U level.

PLUTO Prospects

PLUTO Prospects 17U team has been led by high major D1 prospect Kadyn Betts who has been balling out all summer, but they also have some very good prospects that local coaches should get to know. [player_tooltip player_id="1284528" first="Gavin" last="Hershberger"] has been one of the best floor generals in the state, a pass-first PG who is great at setting up teammates, and also a good shooter from outside. [player_tooltip player_id="1284456" first="Keean" last="Lloyd"] has been a high-level role player for the squad who can fill multiple roles and can be put on opposing teams’ best guards as he is a good on-ball defender with great height for a shooting guard standing at 6’3. [player_tooltip player_id="1329902" first="Eli" last="Robinson"] is a lengthy unselfish combo forward, who can do a bit of everything on the floor.

Team Daum

For Team Daum [player_tooltip player_id="1284464" first="Luke" last="Wagstaff"] has had one of the biggest stock-boosting AAU seasons, showing off his ability to stretch the floor and a good combination of footwork and soft touch near the rim. [player_tooltip player_id="921102" first="Corbin" last="Garver"] is a wing with great length, can shoot the ball from the outside and is a great shot blocker and rebounder at his position. [player_tooltip player_id="1284572" first="Silas" last="McCurnin"] is one of the best shooters in the state who can light up teams with 20+ point performances.

RRG

While the RRG has one of the best prospects in the state, [player_tooltip player_id="1317570" first="Baye" last="Ndongo"], I want to highlight their backcourt trio who have been dominating this AAU season. [player_tooltip player_id="973002" first="Peyton" last="Taylor"] is a lightning-quick guard who uses elite athleticism and great defensive instincts to be one of the best guard defenders in the state. [player_tooltip player_id="1284422" first="Colin" last="Hawkins"] is a bulky guard who is patient and does a great job playing off of two feet. Ricky Mitchell is a guard who may be the best scorer off of the dribble in the state, his bag of tricks is endless.

Colorado Anarchy

The duo of [player_tooltip player_id="1420272" first="Luke" last="Justice"] and [player_tooltip player_id="1432263" first="Matias" last="Aldana"] have been very good for Anarchy and will be a problem at Frederrick this upcoming year. [player_tooltip player_id="1420272" first="Luke" last="Justice"] is a sharpshooting lefty, who is a crafty scorer from all three levels. [player_tooltip player_id="1432263" first="Matias" last="Aldana"] is a big 6’5 combo-forward who can stretch the floor and has improved his game to be a player who can play both inside and out very effectively. [player_tooltip player_id="1284508" first="Tristan" last="Youngblood"] is a wing with great size, can shoot from the perimeter, and a super competitive player.

B&B Black

Two guys have caught my eye who play for B&B. First is [player_tooltip player_id="1420177" first="Jasper" last="Padia"], 6’5 wing who has a good first step and is a very good scorer from the mid-range and near the basket. [player_tooltip player_id="1427089" first="Grayden" last="Harkness"] stands out as he is a player who may not put up the biggest numbers but is a player who does a bit of everything on the floor and is a very good passer for a wing.

Colorado Collective

Colorado Collective has a tough pool play it will be a good challenge to see how their wings Aiden Peck and [player_tooltip player_id="1420176" first="Hunter" last="Hill"] play against top competition. Aiden Peck is a lengthy 6’7 wing who can knock down shots off the dribble or catch and shoot. [player_tooltip player_id="1420176" first="Hunter" last="Hill"] is a lengthy athletic slasher who has a soft touch around at the rim.

Mile High Magic

One guy to keep an eye on from Mile High Magic is [player_tooltip player_id="1285202" first="Quin" last="Galka"]. Quin is a wing with good height who can create for himself, more of a shooter than attacker, who plays hard on both ends of the floor.
