The Top of the Rockies was top-notch, as always, bringing in some of the best talent from the state of Colorado. This weekend even brought one of the biggest crowds I have seen for an AAU game in Colorado. Here are our picks for the top performers from the 17U players.

[player_tooltip player_id="1047501" first="Boubacar" last="Mboup"]- RoughRiders Give

[player_tooltip player_id="1047501" first="Boubacar" last="Mboup"] was simply too big for anyone to handle at the Top of the Rockies. Down low, he is great at getting to his spots and holding post position. With the ball in his hands, he has an excellent drop step and can finish through contact. On both ends Boubacar is a good rebounder, offensively he creates a lot of second-chance opportunities. When on the floor you can bet he will bring great energy to his squad making momentum-shifting plays.

[player_tooltip player_id="1155898" first="Jaedyn" last="Brown"]- Team Daum

[player_tooltip player_id="1155898" first="Jaedyn" last="Brown"] was one of the best shooters at the event, often leading his team in scoring. Jaedyn understands how to move off of the ball and uses screens to his advantage to get open. He was able to score from all three levels throughout the weekend. Jaedyn has a very quick trigger on his jump shot and can shoot it on and off of the dribble making him a tough player to guard.

[player_tooltip player_id="1432263" first="Matias" last="Aldana"]- Colorado Anarchy

[player_tooltip player_id="1432263" first="Matias" last="Aldana"] is a stretch power forward who did a good job leading his team to a 4-0 weekend. From beyond the three-point arc, he has a good shot with a high release. Using a pump fake there were a few times he was able to blow by slower defenders and finish at the rim. He uses a soft touch to finish shots down low in the post.

[player_tooltip player_id="759275" first="Quis" last="Davis"]- Colorado Hawks

The unsigned senior performed in the biggest game of the weekend Colorado Hawks vs. RoughRiders Give which drew in one of the biggest crowds I have ever seen at Goldcrown Fieldhouse. In this game, Quis brought a ton of energy and showed off his leadership abilities. Quis is an athletic guard who finished everything when he was close to the rim. He hung in the air and finished through contact for multiple game-changing and-1 layups.

[player_tooltip player_id="1317570" first="Baye" last="Ndongo"]- RoughRiders Give

[player_tooltip player_id="1317570" first="Baye" last="Ndongo"] showed off his defensive dominance leading his team to a 4-0 weekend. When blocking shots Baye has great timing and on help side he is great at catching opponents off-guard. Offensively Baye was able to finish lobs and use good footwork to finish some tough layups around the rim. For a big man his balance is elite, he uses this to bang down low and hit finesse turn around jump shots. This is a high major big man prospect to keep an eye on.
