Askia Bullie — PG — DTM
One of the better pure point guard prospects that I have watched in April, Bullie has had multiple productive weekends playing on the Prep Hoops Circuit. Bullie is a really strong ball handler who possesses great court vision. He uses this court vision to locate open teammates. Bullie is also able to get isolation buckets too. He is an efficient shooter from deep and is very crafty around the rim.
Tim Franks Tim Franks 6'5" | SG Homestead | 2024 State WI — SG — Chapman Basketball Academy
I like everything about Franks’ overall game. He can do a little bit of everything. The Chapman Basketball Academy prospect is a very dangerous shooter who can catch fire from downtown in a hurry. Franks also does a great job of finding creative ways to finish difficult layups in the paint. In Wisconsin’s 2024 class, I think that Franks could develop into a top ten prospect.
Caden Wilkins Caden Wilkins 6'7" | SF Bettendorf | 2024 State #196 Nation IA — SG — Iowa Barnstormers
I think that Wilkins is going to be a huge name in the 2024 class nationally. He is a versatile prospect that is able to do it all. He scorers well at all three levels, has good court vision, is very athletic, and competes hard on defense. He has already earned the attention of some Division One programs, and if he continues to play well, he will earn some more.
Kareem Earl Kareem Earl 6'5" | SF Iowa City West | 2024 State IA — SF — Iowa Barnstormers
Earl is currently ranked as the second-best prospect in Iowa’s 2024 class. This April, he was able to live up to the hype around his name. He is a true two-way prospect that does a really good job of making an impact on both ends of the court. On defense he uses athleticism and strength to wall up and make opponents score over him. On offense, he can make shots from deep and finish around the rim.
KJ LaMonte KJ LaMonte 6'2" Davenport North | 2024 IA — G — Quad City Shockers
LaMonte’s fantastic April started in Iowa and it ended in Kansas City. From the first tournament of the month to the last, the Quad City Shockers guard was absolutely phenomenal. He is such a smooth scorer that opposing defenders have a really tough time slowing down. He can break down defenses by driving into the paint or by drilling outside jumpers.
Josh Pickett Josh Pickett 6'5" | SG St. Laurence | 2024 State #277 Nation IL — PG — Mac Irvin Fire
Pickett has the potential to develop into a high-level college recruit. He is a very good shooter from deep, but he doesn’t just rely on his outside game. The point guard stands at 6-foot-5 with a strong build. He is able to use his size to convert on layups through contact in the paint. Playing for an absolutely loaded Mac Irvin Fire team, Pickett really impressed in the month of April.
Drew Balentine — PG — MN Chill
Balentine is a very good point guard prospect who is extremely talented as a scorer. The point guard uses speed and skill to get buckets from all three levels. Balentine also proved to possess the clutch gene, as he was able to drill a game-winning three for MN Chill at The Stage.
