RYZE Live Showcase I: Standout Guards Pt. 2

2024 6-0 G [player_tooltip player_id="1444775" first="Charlie" last="Kane"] – HoopAtlanta – Midtown
You can tell when a player is having fun. [player_tooltip player_id="1444775" first="Charlie" last="Kane"] is entertaining and exudes enjoyment. He plays with some flair and had one of the best moves of the tournament, pulling the ball behind his back on a drive before finishing a scoop layup à la Rajon Rondo. The southpaw is a slick passer with a creative mindset.

2023 6-3 G [player_tooltip player_id="1444760" first="Jackson" last="Bell"] – NME – Mt. Bethel
[player_tooltip player_id="1444760" first="Jackson" last="Bell"] is trending in the right direction. He’s a toolsy guard that has his best basketball ahead of him. At 6-foot-3, he’s long and can play 1-3. He moves well without the ball, finding open cracks in the defense. He’s a strong rebounder and a versatile defender. On offense, Bell mixes up his scoring by getting to the hoop and stretching the floor with his three-point range.

2024 5-10 G JT Wasiele – Reid Fundamentals – GAC
Expect JT Wasiele to start clawing his way into more minutes in the GAC rotation. He’s a dangerous shooter that can create offense off the dribble. Wasiele does a nice job getting to his sweet spots in the mid-range, garnering just enough space to get clean looks at the hoop.

2024 6-2 SG [player_tooltip player_id="1272423" first="Max" last="Skidmore"] – Atlanta Timberwolves – Heritage School
Regarded as one of the best shooters in the state, the lefty is more than just a three-point specialist. He uses his strong frame to get into the paint where he finishes both at the rim and from short range with his floater. When he decides to drive, he squares his shoulders and powers through contact.

2024 6-4 SG [player_tooltip player_id="1444776" first="Ellis" last="Pitts"] – Atlanta Timberwolves – Gainesville
Pitts can fill it up in the blink of an eye. With great height and athleticism, Pitts doesn’t need much space to get his shot off. He’s a knockdown three-point shooter that can also take his man off the dribble and score inside. Pitts has good length which helps him shutdown smaller guards on defense.

2024 5-9 PG [player_tooltip player_id="1129726" first="Elijah" last="Coleman"] – Georgia Soldiers – Portal
No longer a South Georgia secret, [player_tooltip player_id="1129726" first="Elijah" last="Coleman"] has proven he’s not a flash in the pan. The two-time All-State selection poured in 22.7 points per game over the weekend with a low mark of 21. An elite foul magnet, Coleman averaged 7.6 foul shots per game. Coleman is an elusive ball handler that always finds corners to turn. Once in the lane, he becomes a heat seeking missile that forces opponents to hack him. Adding a consistent three-point shot to his arsenal will be vital. He has improved his jump shot each season and drained five threes over three games. Colleges will want to track his progress.
