RecruitLook Denver: Top Big Men

<p>The RecruitLook Denver showcase had a ton of intriguing prospects from Colorado and surrounding states. Here are the big men who caught our eyes the most.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1284524" first="Nick" last="Randall"]- ATR Elite</strong></p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1284524" first="Nick" last="Randall"] is an exciting power forward prospect who was dominating this past weekend. Nick is active on the boards always looking for tip-ins and other second-chance opportunities. With the ball down low he is patient and uses head fakes and ball fakes to get defenders out of position. When moving off of the ball Nick works hard to get open and when at the rim often finishes above the rim. </p> <p><strong>Demarcus Johnson- Montana Rebels 17U</strong></p> <p>Demarcus Johnson was a great energy guy for his Montana Rebels squad. He was a true vocal leader for this squad who worked hard every play. There were multiple times when he got his team together by getting a big block or dominating on the boards. Demarcus is a solid athlete who threw down a few big dunks off two feet. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1080835" first="Joel" last="Speckman"]- Salt Lake Rebels Red</strong></p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1080835" first="Joel" last="Speckman"] is a big man who played well with a run and gun style offense. Joel is a good athlete and was a good rim runner on fastbreaks, when at the rim he is a strong finisher. He was a good lob threat who finished a few alley-oops and had a big putback dunk. Joel was also able to stretch the floor for his team with a smooth stroke from beyond the three-point arc.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1318385" first="Carson" last="McDonald"]- Colorado Hawks 16U</strong></p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1318385" first="Carson" last="McDonald"] is a lengthy 6’8 who moves very well for his size. Near the rim Carson has looked more assertive he even finished a fastbreak with a dunk over a defender. He has a good jumper from mid-range and hit a few shots from three-point land. Carson is a high upside power forward to keep an eye on.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1284530" first="Ty" last="Adam"]- ATR Elite</strong></p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1284530" first="Ty" last="Adam"] is a strong 6’8 athlete who held his own against any big man he was matched up with. Ty’s athleticism and good boxing out allowed him to dominate the boards and even get some putbacks. Defensively Ty is solid down low, he gets in a good stance and has good footwork to cutoff big men. </p> <p><strong>Quin Clarke- Montana Rebels 16U</strong></p> <p>Quin Clarke is a 6’7 athlete who impressed with his play on both ends. Quin is quick on his feet for his size and was able to show the potential of being an efficient tough shot-maker in the close to mid-range area. Defensively he used athleticism and long wingspan to swat away shots. Quin is a high upside combo forward to look out for. </p>
