Kareem Earl (Iowa Barnstormers 16U)
Earl is such a silky smooth two guard with positional size at 6’5”. He can really stroke it from three especially off the catch and loves the corners. Mixed in baseline takes with his easy acceleration and was an active defender getting steals and blocking shots. In my eyes he is a no doubt mid-major guy with high-major upside.
Caden Wilkins (Iowa Barnstormers 16U)
Wilkins showed it all off on Friday night. The Barnstormers 6’5” shooting guard has a strong frame and an overall skilled game. In the first half he did everything but score. Pass, defend, rebound. Had a leg injury that he worked out and then in the second half he took over against the LA Broncos. Got to his spots and scored. Mid-range jumpers, threes, and transition scores. He was most effective getting to the rack where he converted at a high level including an absolute poster one handed jam! High-major prospect.
Broderick Brooks (LA Broncos 16U)
Two guard that can score from multiple levels. Broad shoulders and a frame he can continue to add strength. Very good in the open floor getting to the rim. Fluid athlete that can score and has two way potential.
Xavier Ferguson (LA Broncos 16U)
Ferguson was playing up as a 2025 prospect. Active wing defender that offensively was most effective getting in the lane for runners and playing off his defense. Bright future for this two guard.
AJ Lux (Team GRIII 17U)
It was a bit of a quiet start for Lux in their Friday night game, but he lit it up in the second half with how well he shot it from distance. Hit 5 of his 6 threes in the span of about five minutes to open the second half. Good size at 6’5” with a free and easy shooting stroke. Let it fly with consistently knocking in shots. Low-major and mid-majors should get involved here with this 2023 wing.
Brady Kuehl (Gateway Knights 17U)
Liked what we saw out of this St. Louis wing. Skilled small forward that loved to get in the paint for scoop shots, drained pull ups inside the arc, and always seemed to make key plays at important times in this game. Like him as a potential D2 guy.
Da’Shon Fisher (Iowa Barnstormers 17U)
Fisher is a 6’1” physical wing that ALWAYS produces! He has been a consistent presence for the Barnstormers in both live periods. Flies in for rebounds, hits from 15 feet, and scores in the paint with his physicality. Good defender, excellent on the glass, and impacts winning. Elite D2 or JUCO prospect.
Andrew Mitchell (Middlesex Magic 17U)
Mitchell is a wiry and long two guard that was a force getting in the lane for acrobatic finishes over and over. Silky smooth ball handler that changed directions and got to the cup on quality angles for buckets.
Bryce Coleman (IBA Illinois Stars 17U)
The Niles Notre Dame wing has had a strong spring. Well built small forward with good size and the production is really coming along. He finished around the basket on dump offs, aggressive takes, and the jumper is starting to become a consistent weapon. D1 prospect that has elevated his stock with a strong spring.
Kohen Rowbatham (Team FIFA 17U)
Thick bodied two guard that plays both 16s and 17s for the Louisiana squad. He is a straight bucket getter! Pounds defenses with his strength in the paint on straight line takes and posts ups. He is also a plus shooter that can let it fly with consistency. The 2024 prospect is one to track going forward as he looks like a low-major guy.
Jake Fiegen (Full Package 17U)
Shooters are going to shoot. When you are the premier shooter in Illinois that’s what you do. He hit five of them in the game that we saw with his quick release. Did a nice job mixing in some runners and 15 footers to compliment his long ball. Mid-majors especially MVC schools should be all over this elite shot maker.
